Probably not a reference to Eduardo...

.....then when the ball hits them in the guts then they hold their head.

sounds fantastic. Certainly a risk worth taking in my opinion. if it works we have one of our best players back halfway through the season, if it doesnt (and not for a second do I wish this to be the case) then he will still miss the season but still should be right for next year.

Pretty hard to do that captain when every man and his dog does it in Europe for their soccer players.

We have a lot to learn in this country regarding sports medicine, because its such huge coin over there clubs pay doctors to discover these advances in technology.

Some of the injuries they come back from so quick in the soccer world just amazes me some times.

    Heres a little question....
Q....Why couldnt they get Kewell back so quick tho?

    A....

I hope so too but he has until about may to prove him self and if it doesnt work then he will have traditional ACL surgery. If he has the traditional surgery in may he will be back for round 1 next year no probs.

If these ops used to have a shelf life (ie. couple of years) it may have been that the body was rejecting the earlier prosthetics. So if this new ligament is indeed inert, as reported it's a great leap forward. So to speak.

I've been doing back flips all morning, since I've read that article. I hope his comeback is successful.

nathan gibbs is behind so much of our success ... he often goes unheralded but after the complete lack of injuries in the last few seasons and now this - he is a champ!

It all sounds a bit risky ... fanstastic if it works, but risky nonetheless.

At this stage we got luckly, while Dr Gibbs has known of the treatment for 15 months it was only the fact that Dr Lars was in Australia last week to oversee the operation that Malceski was able to do it.

Otherwise it would have been the same operation as usual.

You have to feel for someone like Haselby, same injury, same date but different surgery.
