So lets shoot the messenger? What has his being a "knob" got to do with the serious allegations he has raised? Presumably if you are ever serving on a jury the likeability of the witnesses will be a big factor in your assessment their credibility?

The AFL has to launch a major inquiry. A senior coach of Carlton in the 2007 season has alleged match fixing. The AFL's contract with a major betting agency will require it if not the pressure from major sponsors. Demetriou should now resign. His assertion that there was no tanking in the competition was just the latest in a string of mismanagement disasters. Welcome collateral damage.

He has AFL coaching aspirations. no Club is going to consider him if he keeps shooting his mouth off.

His credibility of being a team player has been harpooned by his outbursts.

I haven't heard what he's had to say, but if he is indicating that there was match fixing at Carlton, then it should be investigated.
If there is some form of tangible evidence.

I'm sure everyone who was complaining that Roos was investigated is equally abhorred that the AFL would be investigating Carlton on when seems on evidence about as damning as the evidence that Roos was investigated on.

Perhaps inquiries should be made into Carlton before a full scale investigation is launched?
That's what was being thrown around here about Roos.
Let's just see how willing people are to stick to their passionate opinions with these revelations.....

NOW if the AFL don't investigate they will be unjustified.
