Melbourne, Richmond, Bulldogs will take the bottom 3.

I think we are better than Freo, Carlton, Brisbane.

Thus anywhere from 2nd to 10th.

Seriously - do people believe we are genuine contenders this year? I take no notice of the experts and their predictions, because they've been consistently wrong about us in the past. Is our 2008 list really Top 4 material?

Just get the feeling we won't be participating in September. We've lost some good assistants and some goodish players. I don't really see much in the positive as far as new recruits go, and the regulars don't instil confidence that they will improve from their performance last year. In the meantime, other clubs have been recruiting well and appear rejuvenated - like the Blues, Bombers, Saints and Adelaide.

We will get off to a terrible start, I think we will improve in the middle part of the season but the start will be too damaging.

I think we're a legitimate chance. Provided Hall gets back to somewhere near his best, and we don't have too many injuries.

I don't think there's a hell of a lot between each side. A couple of exceptions obviously, but there's always a few teams that surprise. Injuries play a bigger part than ever before in my opinion.

We had a lot of luck with injuries (some of it good management) in '05 and '06but that wasn't the case last year.

Would have picked 9th, but Richmond are looking good, so went 10th.

Brisbane will be a big mover this year I think and could finish top 4.

I think swans, like Adelaide will slide down the ladder this year, and both return to the 8 in 09.

I am hoping for top 4.

But realisticly, I believe 9th, 10th, or 11th. I am a bit concerned with our lack of pace around the midfield and forward line.

I said in another thread it's still too early to make a prediction, but I'm hoping that we'll make into the top 8.
