I think lack of speed is exposed in sides mainly in the finals, when the instensity and pace of the game goes up a level.

Maybe that's why Adelaide always seem to fall short.

We won the premiership when we had Williams. Crouch and Fosdike actually had a yard of pace back then aswell.

Adelaide had some critical injuries and loss of momentum leading into the finals.

Nothing to do with 'leg speed'. The team was run into the ground with their top up training. They lost prosciutto and Hentschel who were pivotal members of the team.

Cast your mind back to the 2006 preliminary final when they played West Coke. They were up by 4 goals at half time, so personnel wasn't the problem.

When the Eagles came out in the 2nd half they lifted. Adelaide just couldn't cope, they were being beaten to the ball constantly and ended up surrendering and bending over with their pants down at the same time.

In a word, no.

Was there when we came second, and once is really to much.

My prediction is 7th, and then fight our way to the flag.
