I would expect Barlow and Moore to play with both Bird and Jack very likely and White an outside chance as the second ruckman.

      Therefore:

      B: Jack C Bolton L Barry
      HB: Mattner LRT Kennelly
      C: Buchanen Ablett Goodes
      HF: ROK Hall Davis
      F: Moore O'Loughlin McVeigh
      R: Jolly Kirk J Bolton
      I: Grundy, Bird, Barlow, White

Bird's form warrants selection, but form hasn't always been important to whoever picks the side now has it?

If Mathews plays, and Bird misses round 1, then it looks like we're in for another year of the boys club while the young guys spend another year with the Canberra amateurs playing against school teachers and video clerks.

In relation to Jesse White, the Swans should look to recent history. Tall blokes always seems to make it a habit of having great starts for Sydney.

Remember Ryan Fitzgerald's (201 cm) great beginning to his career in 2000, where he kicked a club equalling record of 5 goals on debut? Interestingly, that particular game was a Round 1 match, a night game, against St Kilda, and played at Telstra Dome, (or Colonial Stadium as it was then known).

Remember Ricky Mott's (199 cm) impressive start in season 2002, especially his second game against Carlton at Optus Oval?

PS I know that neither of the above went on with it, but I'm looking a game at time here

DST, that is the best side I have seen entered on this site.

                No Matthews or Bevan.

Nice team there DST,i like it a lot.

A couple of others on the boarder line would be Laidlaw and DOK,wouldnt they?

IMO Moore is a great replacement for Schneiderman.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Pretty good....except McVeigh. I think we all know deep down that at least one of..Mathews or Bevan, will be in the team, probably Mathews. Isn't Ablett under a bit of an injury cloud?

Bird and Bevo will both be in the Round 1 22. They are both indifferent ways important parts of the future of the club.
