And give White a chance. It's time we started grooming a replacement for Hall.

I'm all for White getting a chance as a third tall forward, but it will depend on team structure. At this stage we still lack a little pace but if Bird, Barlow, Jack, Moore and like all remain in the side then we can start experimenting with a third tall up forward like a White to see if it works.

The 22 selected should come from the 26 originally selected for the Brisbane practice match. It now seems like Richards and Ablett will not come up. Mocca White is on the outer, so LRT will play as the second ruckman. Brennen will try and fill the hole left in defence. That only leaves one more to be omitted . I reckon Mathews, purely because he started on the pine at Manuka and did nothing much when he came on.

So this leaves something like:

Bevan, Barry, Brennen
Mattner, Bolton, Kennelly
Buchanan, Bird, Goodes
O'Keefe, Hall, Barlow
Moore, O'Loughlan, Davis
Jolly, Kirk, Bolton
