I hope to see the young guys get a go too but i think all the Matthews bashing is a little unfair on a good servant to the club. One thing that i love about him is as a midfield/ defender type player, whenever he gets near goals and has a set shot you can almost mark it in every time which is something i cant say about most of our set shot chocking midfielders!! Give him one more year i say and if after 6 or 7 rounds and he's struggling and we are too for wins, then look at a youngster to blood.

That's one of his BIG positives. He is very accurate from set shots.
If Craig Bird does play it will be a baptism of fire if he's up against St Kilda's midfield.
I agree that Moore is a perfect replacement for Schneider. He hasn't put a foot wrong in the pre season and has shown he knows where the goals are.He has served a decent apprenticeship in the two's which as I heard him say"he needed to get fit enough for the big step up".Good luck to him.
I would expect Barlow and Moore to play with both Bird and Jack very likely and White an outside chance as the second ruckman.
Therefore:
B: Jack C Bolton L Barry
HB: Mattner LRT Kennelly
C: Buchanen Ablett Goodes
HF: ROK Hall Davis
F: Moore O'Loughlin McVeigh
R: Jolly Kirk J Bolton
I: Grundy, Bird, Barlow, White

Replace Grundy with Richards (sorry, but I'm just not convinced by Grundy. Too slow to be a defender, and no room to be a forward), and I think you're just about right. When Everitt comes good, depending on how he and other players are going, either:
move White to the forward pocket, Moore into the midfield, and drop whoever deserves it,
move White into the forward pocket, Moore to the wing, drop Jack and have Buchanan play his role,
move White into the forward pocket and drop Moore,

or simply drop White.
Those are the four basic options I'm seeing.
I have selected Grundy over Richards purely on the basis that Richards wont be available round 1. If he is, then he is in.
White will be a straight swap for Everitt round 2 if he is ready.
