I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Beware of what you say in jest - running late for a trip to Tassie we parked in the short term CP for 3 days (it was that or miss the flight). Great weekend in Tassie, just made the flight back to Sydney, pay for car parking on entry to car park ($184!!)... walk to car. Car gone.
We did get the money back for the parking about a month later, but that was at their discretion. Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.Comment

That's right everyone living on the Northern Beaches is loadedMyles, are you listening!!!!??? We need a helipad for JS to get back to Newport straight after the game! And don't forget the champers for the trip will you Geeves?
Actually, bugger the helipad!!! We need chauffeur driven limousines to Rose Bay then a seaplane service available for our more well-healed Northern Beaches Swans connoisseurs.

. Now where did I park that helicopter of ours?
JS can you give me a lift in yours if I can't track it down by Sunday?Bring it on!Comment

It's OK for you, but wouldn't work for those of us who live North of the harbour. It's bad enough getting in to the ED as it is.I can't speak highly enough about parking at Randwick racecourse on SCG game days. Not only is the parking free, the old blokes directing traffic are really helpful. When there are night games on they keep a bunch of spots available for women on their own so as their cars are under lights. The bus costs $5.20 return to the ground and it takes little time to get back there after the game is finished. I can be out of the ground, on the bus to the race course and out of the parking area within half an hour - unlike the Moore park rubbish pile that you pay $20 to park on and it takes an age to exit.
Anyway - give it a go!Bring it on!Comment

Public transport for this li'l old beer drinking westie, but only on mountains trains - safe as houses and faster. Depending on how energetic (or early) I am may buy the combined Moore Park ticket or take the hike up the hill to the SCG. But I can understand not wanting to walk around Blacktown at night. Get out past Penrith it's a different world and much safer too.I actually live only 10 min walk from a train station!! And used to take public transport to games all the time... however once I had to drive because I needed to get someplace else quickly after the game... and I don't think I've taken public transport since.
The less times I have to take a train back to blacktown of a late saturday night, the better.....
But the bane of using the train - bloody weekend trackwork. Depending on the level of disruption that's when I drive, generally to Goulburn St.Pay peanuts get monkeysComment

Trying to get out of the carpark after attending an Aftermatch function at the MCG is the difficult thing, the car is easy to find as it's sitting all alone but they close most of the gates and I remember one night driving around for ages trying to find a gate that was open.CHER - Who has two types of blood cells "RED ones and WHITE ones"Comment

Kerry Packer used to have a helipad at Summer Bay (aka Palm Beach) - but it's gone now - like the man himself.Comment

Yeh, that's fun as well. No worries, wasn't having a go at you.
Don't forget that the Randwick option isn't available on World Youth day

and how many Swans game did he attend? I thought he was a leaguie.
BTW I'm fed up of being hassled to buy raffel tickets for the Junior Sea Eagles, although I do enjoy telling them it's the wrong code

Speaking of the german in the long dress, do you reckon it would be possible to turn up at Randwick and still be able to put on a few bets during the WYD activities? surely they would have a few races televised for the faithful.
