That's great, but what about the eyes? He needs to prove that he can see the ball during a night match.

Don't know why his ability to see on a floodlit ground at night would be much worse than his ability to see during the day.

Yeah, you'd think that! What's wrong with contacts these days? Or is it more serious than that?

          Well yeah.

Everyone implies that his sight is worse at night games.
I'm no expert in vision, but I would assume that dim light, direct sunlight, mud and sweat might all be things which might affect quality of eyesight.
In fact you'd have to say that on an overcast day with dark clouds and rain, his ability to see would be much worse off than under the lights at the big grounds...

Maybe it's the slippery dew that messes his marking abilities up? Something that is a problem during most night games. Does he need the old Paul Roos gloves?

It's not implied, it's rather his performances when he plays at night, which are often sub-par compared to day games. If there are any stats to show this, that would be great

Hall said after the game that the game plan was to kick it long and trust to the forwards. And it worked!

Now, some people say that those on RWO know nothing and the coaching staff know everything. But, many on RWO have been calling for this long game for over a year and their call has been shown to be correct!

I read that and it brought a smile to my face immediately. Will be interesting to see how often they impliment this tactic.

I find that my vision during night and day games is a little different. I wear contacts and I swear I find it much easier to see a day game at the MCG than a night game at the Dome. Not sure, could be the roof or something coming in to play as well...

Yep I wear glasses when I need to. I can watch a day game without glasses but I wouldn't be able to read the player's number. But during a night game I'm no chance to even see a player properly without my glasses.

I wear contacts and I can definitely see better during the day than at night.

As someone who is almost as blind as barry, trust me ... it's a whole lot easier to see during the day under normal sunlight, than it is to see at night under "artificial" sunlight. If you have perfect vision, try squinting your eyes a little while looking at the lights. The "light beams" are blinding.

As I've said before, I have to wear a hat at the night games to keep the lights out of my eyes. They are more powerful than people think.

Maybe Blind Barry can borrow my hat ... but not the one Spida signed.
