Leo was good in Rs 1 and 2.

Roos just singled out K Jack in the commentary for his job on Power.

Yep, he (Barry) needs to play on smaller types.

Who else would you have played on Bradshaw? Grundy? LRT? Leo was beaten tonight but Bradshaw played well. Few would argue that Merret played poorly, but Hall has a better game than Bradshaw (had he have kicked straight he would have had a great game). Leo's disposal was very good tonight, his run was good (because it was restrained). I am not sure that anyone else would have had a better game than Leo on Bradshaw tonight.

On the other hand, there are about 10 blokes at the club who would consistently play better than Jude.

            Game Over!!!

            Sydney 13.10 88
            Brisbane 10.11 71

A good win against the Lions. Some lucky misses from the Lions and wayward kicking by Hall made the result a lot closer than it should've been. Swans completely dominated in the midfield and overall possessions (374 vs. 251) with 11 players racking up 20 or more possessions.

The backline was outstanding except for Leo (Bradshaw kicked 5.3). Hall can mark again but his kicking was shocking, despite 23 possessions and 14 marks. The Lions midfield barely got the ball except for Adcock. The result should've been greater than it was considering the possession count.

Next week, a blockbuster against the Eagles who lost the Dockers earlier today. Hall will have to be back at his best to take on Glass, but I reckon we'll beat them fairly convincingly given that Kerr really struggled with his hammy.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

              Maybe Richards on Bradshaw?

ROK, Goodes and Kennelly were excellent. I particularly liked Moore and Jack and Kirky was in everything as usual.
                The midfield is firing!

                  The good:

Mattner - I'm a fan, he did some good stuff tonight. To put it another way, he is a defender who I don't get worried when the ball gets near him.

Moore - he seems to continually get the ball and do things with it. I like that Moore, along with Barlow and Bird and Jack back themselves and move the ball quickly and positively. Doesn't always work, but in the end Moore finishes with two goals and these guys will just get better.

McVeigh - Was everywhere and seemed to continually get the ball out of congestion.

O'Keefe, Kirk and Goodes - got plenty of it and did well.

Kicking skills - time and time again we hit targets and there were many great pinpoint passes. I think we have improved from last year a bit.

                  And finally we won.

                  The bad:

Leo/Bevan/Grundy/Jude - I just think that we make a few too many errors, particularly at the centre bounce. And too many soft free kicks given away.

But having said that we won and if we improve next week I dare say we should beat wet toast.

11 players with over 20 possessions.

Fabulous. Now that's a stat I like to see.

McHack's gunna make me eat my words. He had a great game.

                    Goodesy ... 28 possessions.

                    Kirk ... noice. Very noice.

The young-ins and ring-ins. I think I can get a bit excited about our future ... Moore, Cheese, Mattner. Lovely.

We're travelling very well considering we're missing 3 top players in Everitt, Davis and Malceski.

Having Everitt back would be handy. It must be wearing Jolly out.

It was actually 26 possessions but his final quarter was outstanding.

Mattner/Richards played on Bradshaw for a few minutes and sustained him when they were on him. Richards was definitely the unsung hero in the backline tonight.

Bring on Weagles after they got stung by Freo tonight.

                            Malceski will be though.

They said 28 on the tv.
Right on about Richards. He did two great saves in the last few minutes. What a good pick up he was.

Yep. There is still some room on the Bevo bandwagon but its filling up fast. Russell described him as the star from the Western Suburbs of Sydney. Quite right.
