Why wasn't Hall dragged?

I agree ROK he should of been dragged no doubt, though saying Roosy is Spineless is utter rubbish in my opinion.
Did you see Roosy at 1/2 time with Barry ?
He wasnt wasting space on the ground , we still had to win the game and Hall takes there best defender in Glass so he isnt wasting space at all.
We have seen how Roosy and the leadership group deals with incidents during the week, ask Nick Davis why he hasnt been playing.Comment

Sometimes people taking up space can be an advatange to the team.

Hall was clearly affected by his own actions later in the game and should have been dragged (I think as a protection against himself - at one point I thought he might snap again and deck the umpire)
Not sure when Roos saw the incident though - calling the coach spineless makes little sense.Comment

I would of thought the vision on TV, of Roos in the sheds at halftime, in Baza's face, spitting all over him, are not the actions of a spineless coach.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

He should have been pulled. No question. No question at all.
Great of Roos to give him a spray in the sheds, but if he doesn't feel he can pull someone after they have done something like that just because people will see him give them a dressing down on the sidelines then he needs to move back up to the coaching box.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

I totally agree ROK. I was pumped and excited about the game and our form up until Hall was a selfish ill-tempered fool. After that I was flat like the rest of the crowd. I commented to my wife straight after a game that it was the flattest I had ever felt singing the club song after a win.
Hall's pre-madonna outburst has the potential to derail such a bright start to the season.Swannies for life!Comment

I hope it's a spur on for the rest of the boys, that we can win without Hall, and what a way to test yourself against the best!Comment

He will bully players like Davis and Dempster who are not in the clique but has not got the courage to make a stand when he needs to, when one of the big boys steps out of line.
The "I did not see it" bollocks is his way of avoiding dealing with the situation. He needed to show some leadership himself last night and drag the bloke for selfish, stupid play, send a message to the others and to Hall that one player is not about the team. They trot that line out at other times, why not for Barry?
It also shows that Mr Cool Paul can't coach in a crisis or when things deviate from the game plan. Hall did not come off until one of the assistants worked out a new forward structure for Roos and put it on the whiteboard...Comment

When we got back to my place on Sat night, we turned on the TV and caught the end of the telecast.
During this they showed a snippet from half-time again. Blind Barry was up against the wall and Roosey was about an inch from his nose letting him have it - quietly. The look on Roosey's face ... dead-set, Blind Barry should be six foot under today. Judging by the look on Blind Barry's face when he was copping it - I reckon he felt like he wished he was already there.
I recorded the last half hour - I can burn it to DVD if you want to see.
Roosey isn't spineless - it's those quiet ones you have to watch out for!!Last edited by AnnieH; 14 April 2008, 10:51 AM.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I think Roos is spineless. All talk and little action. Loves to say "it's not my fault" and empower players to make the decisions that he does not have the guts to do.

ROK, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it (I've only read thus far) ... but Roosey DID give Blind Barry a bake and it was a beauty.
