Why wasn't Hall dragged?

Even if Roos is to be believed that 'he didn't see it', then surely one of the assistants in the box would have given him a fairly accurate description of what happened as soon as 10 started replaying the incident."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Bollocks. If you pull one player for being undisciplined you pull them all, and that was the most undisciplined thing by a Swan in a long time. Perfectly valid to accuse him of being spineless in this case.
I have no idea why he wasn't pulled either, it was driving me mad all game. I did catch the Channel 10 post game show and they showed some half time footage from the Swans locker room, an extremely animated and angry looking Roos was right in Hall's face and appeared to be giving him a serve.Bevo bandwagon driverComment

I think Roos is spineless. All talk and little action. Loves to say "it's not my fault" and empower players to make the decisions that he does not have the guts to do.
He will bully players like Davis and Dempster who are not in the clique but has not got the courage to make a stand when he needs to, when one of the big boys steps out of line.
The "I did not see it" bollocks is his way of avoiding dealing with the situation. He needed to show some leadership himself last night and drag the bloke for selfish, stupid play, send a message to the others and to Hall that one player is not about the team. They trot that line out at other times, why not for Barry?
It also shows that Mr Cool Paul can't coach in a crisis or when things deviate from the game plan. Hall did not come off until one of the assistants worked out a new forward structure for Roos and put it on the whiteboard...Bevo bandwagon driverComment

He didn't bring him off the ground for the obvious reason he is a key player in our forward structure. Why bring him off? To deliver a homily against violence on the football field? To state the bleeding obvious? Hall had regained composure immediately after the incident and the Eagles were clearly intimidated. Hall stayed where he should - on the field. Roos is there to coach to win games which he does brilliantly. At half time he wasn't giving Hall a serve he was telling him to focus and keep playing. I could just imagine Sheedes or Malthouse taking off a player after a big hit.Comment

Exactly. It was BRILLIANT COACHING! The Eagles were so @@@@ scared after the incident that they even failed to remonstrate. They were weak (So was Hall btw). Paul Roos had a masterful stroke of coaching initiative by leaving BBBBH on the ground to keep the fear in the e-girls.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

It is an interesting one isn't it? Should Roos take a player off who is playing in a winning team & would would more than likely have continued to dominate given the amount of control our midfield had on proceedings on Saturday?
Should Hall have been taken out out of respect to the Eagles? Hardly, I say. Like we owe that lot anything.
Should Hall have been taken off because he was a potential disruption to his team-mates? Maybe, but the Eagles reaction was pissweak at best. Adam Hunter went in to 'remonstrate' & hit the deck like Rivaldo when he had somebody go at him.
I think Roos probably did the best thing at the time, to try & play the rest of the game & ensure we got the win without disrupting the team plan at all.
This week that decision will be taken off him. And right so.

PR. They respect him as they should. Hes turned his life and career around. One lapse and you want to condemn him. He made a mistake but he is a courageous big hearted footballer. I'll stand by him. You off to AFL House to boo him?Bevo bandwagon driverComment
