lol That's actually quite funny when you think about it.

I think we all need a laugh this morning. Which is strange after a win.

              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Did anyone notice that Staker had his hand on Hall's throat before Hall lashed out? Am I imagining things or was there pressure applied to his windpipe?

That's well picked up. There is certainly some contact from Staker to Hall's throat. Hard to pick up what he did, but perhaps he pinched it or something, or perhaps it was incidental.

No pressure on his windpipe as far as I can tell when he punches, but it does look like Staker rakes his fingers across Hall's throat.

It was very well picked up, I hadn't noticed it before and haven't seen or heard it mentioned previously.

I think it is probably incidental, but lord it'll be dragged out if it turns out Staker did something to Hall's throat.

That still was a weak attempt of flying a flag by Hunter. I think if a fly flew past him, he'll drop to his backside.

I'm not convinced that fingers on the throat were the sparking point. He actually swung his arm just before then but missed. Hall was already worked up.

I wonder if something happened a bit earlier to get Hall so worked up. It was early in the game and he'd already received a free kick, so it is hard to put it down to just general frustration. But while Barry's done some dumb things before, this one is bizarre even by his own standards. When he throws that final punch it almost looks as if he's forgotten he's on a footy field.

No excuses. There is absolutely no place for what he did. Just seems an even more strange incident in the cold light of day.

I was going to say something similar (but I imagined how that would be taken). After the throat contact he seems to stop and then go bang.

It's extremely strange when it looks like Staker's actions don't appear particularly unusual. It will be interesting to see if anything comes out this afternoon.

I sincerely hope it doesn't regardless of whether there was anything or not. Whatever Staker could possibly have said or done (if anything) nothing excuses Barry's actions.

He's going to have his work cut out to re-win any respect from the football world but the first small step has to be an unreserved apology this afternoon.

Looking at the vision it does look like Staker continually was reaching for Hall's neck area....

and just before the punch he sort of "tweaks" at his neck....and that's when Barry snapped directly after that....

Still a disgraceful act by Barry but there could be at least some sort of explanation....
