same in the office here - although a North Supporter made a wimpy response, my reply was 'well if it was Glen Archer who did it - you would have all been cheering" - he had no comeback. the west coast supporter here is lying low, and my major client (in Melbourne) who is a fanatical Geelong man reckons - it was a great hit - and pity it wasnt Hunter and Kerr!
What really annoys the tripe out of me is that had it have been a lesser light - none of this crap would be going on. The problem is though now that when Baz starts playing again - he will be an even bigger target to be niggled at, but he will get to a point where he just has to stand there and take it. He still wont get a free kick and he may just give the game away altogether because he will have to be on his best behaviour being put under such scrutiny - and at the end of the who could blame him.
As for the comment on another thread that one person reckons Barry has sabotaged our top 4 chances - total and utter crap - it doesnt say much for the others on the playing list if thats the case!I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

The newsagency bloke in Mortlake, branded the WHOLE team as thugs! Calling the Swans a team of thugs.
Way to judge a team, through the actions of one player.
Funny thing is, he follows Collingwood. I suppose they've been clean over they years!Comment

I have just come home from work and "gee" did I get a pasting from everyone about THAT incident.Just had to sit there, take it all and agree that it was an appalling incident. They acted like I was the one who told him to do it. I hope he realises how much he has let us all down and how hard he has made it for all of us who love the red and white.
I'm lucky people at my work are more worried about Schalke losing 5-1 than Barry Hall.
It was the Number 1 story on the news down here. was it given similar billing in Sydney as well?

I spoke with Swantastic on the phone earlier this morning. He says the media in Melbourne have gone nuts over it. Blind Barry's on the front page, back page and in the middle.
People in WA are calling for a lifetime ban.
Stakers mummy is upset.
Throw the book at him!!
Another call a few minutes ago to a rabid budgie criminal supporter revealed the conspiracy theory that Blind Barry hadn't actually broken his wrist - the swans are just saying that because they don't want the fans to turn on him.
Good grief.
I loved it. I loved the way after he hit Staker, his little criminal mate Hunter came in to back him up; and all Blind Barry had to do was put his hand out to not only stop him, but send him dropping to the ground.
I'm still laughing.
Big bad bustling Barry. Good to see you back son.
I reckon he should have punched a few more while he was at it.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Reaction has been ridiculous. Yes it was a mistake, yes he'll get suspended, yes he's let the team down blah blah blah. Meanwhile Ryan Gamble quietly gets one week for a punch that was only marginally worse if at all.
I wish he hadn't done it and agree it was stupid, but he's very unlikely to ever do it again, it was out of character, so let's take a deep breath and move on. The bigger picture is that we smashed the Eagles, and Hunter is still a jerk.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment

Gamble received two weeks (reduced for early plea, and lucky not to get a one or two more) but it certain wasn't as bad as Hall's - Dal Santo was able to keep playing without any problems.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

That's only because Gamble didn't make the same contact. Gamble was looking at Dal Santo as opposed to swinging wildly as well. You could argue he showed more intent. Admittedly I'm playing a little devil's advocate here but it's something worth considering.Today's a draft of your epitaphComment
