As great as it would be to see the Eagles collect a wooden spoon, I really don't want them getting Naitanui.

Never in our history have we even occupied 16th spot on the AFL ladder, and I can't see that happening this year, not even the wooden spoon. Melbourne or Fremantle will get it.

Who do you reckon the Wiggles might beat then? I think the Dees will win at least one more game but the only one of your team's that looks tricky to tip at the moment is the return bout against the Dockers.

The only thing I'm praying for at the moment is for Melbourne to win two or three more games.

                          So far, so good.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Wooden spoons - and premierships - count the same regardless of the number of teams in the competition. If the Eagles did end up with the wooden spoon in 1989, would we still be discussing semantics about whether they were 14th out of 14 then? No. Bottom is bottom, regardless of the number of teams.
