Rubbish football. Those last few misses were soul-destroying. Why can't we play with the desperation of the final minutes for 4 quarters?

I'm so over the schizenhausen "lock down" style play.

Barry Hall has a lot to answer for, it's like we can't get the forward set-up right anymore

How funny were Harvey and Rawlings after the siren. They thought they'd won and were embracing. Rawlings' expression when he looked up at the scoreboard was priceless!! Best moment of the game.

We consistently show that we can tear a game apart, but only come out of our shells when the game seems out of reach.

Why don't we always attack the game like we did in the last 6 minutes?

We did it against Port for the majority of the game but don't seem to be able to have the confidence to do it more consistently.

Sydney looked gone, they did well to draw it, and there are no injuries or reports, Goodes played well, Kennelly good.... didn't think they would get over NM today, they are always a tough team. Actually not such a bad result.

Think about this fellas and i'm not saying that Sydney should be let off the hook by Roosy but...

            1. We're playing away
            2. Barry Hall is out'
            3. We didn't lose when we should have

We are a much better team this year than last and I am more confident when we play Collingwood and Hawthorn. we will win against Geelong at home, we will be the first team to beat them this year.

It will be interesting to see what those who were at the game thought of Bevan. He looked terrific on t.v. - he, Jack and Moore are developing nicely. Bird's disposal still needs work and Barlow remains good in patches.

Special mention also to Ted Richards. He's looking more comfortable in defence and takes some excellent marks.

worst game ever. Result was okay, I mean 2 points is more than we deserve.

Individually some bad days out for too many players but as a team, where was the run? where was the forward pressure? We had 16 opportunities to make it hard for NM to get it out of their defensive 50 and very few times did we actually succeed. Once was in the last two minutes.

Still looking at the draw we have a good chance to win the next 7 and should start favourite for each of them. Hopefully can figure out a forward line by then.

                    THE GAME POSITIVES

1). In my tipping comp, a draw counts as a win...
                    2). Only 5 weeks to Bazza's return.
3). sorry, that's about it, even no 2 was stretching it...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

7 out of 8 for me this week unless Richmond beats Hawthorn which I doubt.

Oztips suck, win - draw - loss... who chooses draws????

Goodes was good... why can't he play like that without someone lighting a fire up his a$$?

Yeah I reckon Sydney won and NM lost. Agree with all of the above plus NM had injuries so that also makes it a loss for them. Jesse looked a little lost but I like the look of him, it is great seeing another tall player - just what we need!

Agree on Jesse - he has a good solid build. Always been impressed with his work in the reserves.

Perhaps if we'd been up by 5 goals at quarter time like we should have been things might have been different.

Rubbish game of football. Except for the last 5 minutes very dull. Given how quiet the crowd was most people seemed to think the same.

Very good effort from our defence again, as usual. Particularly good games from Bevan, Richards, C Bolton and Mattner.

Garbage games from J Bolton and Buchanan.

Goodes showed some really good signs. Messed up a lot of disposal, but ran well and created a lot of opportunities, kicked some nice goals and took some nice marks.

Everyone else generally average. Our forward line entries continue to be hopeless. Our rebound from defence is completely haphazard. We need to open up the game much sooner than the last five minutes of the game.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
