There is no doubt whatsover in my mind that AD and his cronie AD have a personal issue with Paul Roos, which they let influence their responses to issues where Sydney Swans are involved. I would even go so far as to say that their attitude has influenced the conduct of umpires towards the Swans.

I have my conspiracy theories but i agree that the AFL is allowing the media to perpetrate the anti swans rubbish that they keep spitting in order to destabilize us. The AFL would hate for another Sydney GF or even a flag won playing the style of footy we do. They hate it and want all teams to play like geelong.

Well f em it's been us against them so far this season.

Roos (sensibly) stayed stum until the penalty - then copped it.

Brayshaw seems a little ticked off by the AFL suggestion about NM not calling a head count - probably fair enough to complain but that is about it.

As for mixed messages - The great Irishman sort of suggests video replays would be good, but Roos says no as it would slow the game down....

Surely there is more to worry about? Such as whatever Todd McKenney got up to on Anzac Day?

Glad to say that when Brayshaw was on live with KB and Greg Denham on SEN this morning Denham tied him in knots. He started saying they must get the points then as they did not actually request the points (because they thought the evidence was so overwhelming in their favour) then he said he would accept the decision (heeello) as long as something was done about the rule!!! In other words just a long muddled rant to get himself in the press as an active president (a mini Eddie wannabe).

What is about the footy show 'personalities' their heads swell immeasurably and they start to believe their own promos. Brayshaw is the latest and one of the very worst in a long line of Ch9 untalented tossers.

And i think the Melbourne media atm has way too much influence on how the AFL deals with things. Too many hacks masquerading as journos atm who write articles that influence the mindset of a lot of footy fans, much like how the Herald Sun has a big influence on the thinking patterns of most victorians.

The only balanced comment I heard was from Jarrod Molloy on ABC radio, he commented that the point was wrongly awarded and should have been a goal, although given the Swans had 19 men on the field it evened out (I don't want to use the "K" word) with it being a draw.

I really don't understand what everyone is harping on about in here. Having 19men on the field is illegal. Whether it was intentional or not, or whether the Kangas called for a head count or not, or whether the AFL were too harsh or not are just moot points. This error could have had diabolical consequences as we were in the wrong.
