    Shannon Grant without a doubt

Probably Richard Osborne for me. Instantly became my favourite player but he was gone after one year. In our only win of the year, he kicked 10 on Haydn Robins who I know personally. Still get stuck into him about it!

Grant wanted to go home, so I was happy with what he got for him. I reckon Schwass was the slightly better player but Grant has played a lot longer so they definitely won the deal.

Williams, Mitchell, Grant, Schneids, Capper (ok, ok, but I did love watching him play). Schneider, being such a recent backstab, is the one that hurts the most at present...I hope Luffy can bring him up for the aftermatch against the saints so we can say thanks, a la Cressa a few years back.
Couldn't give a toss about anyone who'd leave the Swannies and want to play for the phylth, so Rocca and Licuria can go jump off the Westgate Bridge as far as I'm concerned...hate the mummy's boy %@&*er!
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

When I was a kid, I idolised Silvio Foschini. Must have shed a few tears when he left.

These days, not really concerned as long as we receive a fair trade in exchange.

                Easy - Paul Licuria

At the time there were 3 or 4 trades done, and there was a lot of talk about a couple of trades as being disappointing, but for me it was Licuria.

Especially as even at the time I considered the reason given by the Swans as being short sighted.
In a team with an aging Schwass, Kelly, and whole midfield, they moved him on to "allow him to play in the midfield as it would be hard for him to get in amongst the stars at the Swans" or something like that.
A few years later, and even now, he'd have walked into the team, possibly after having to really work hard and become a real star himself.

But then who really knows, maybe he was desperate to leave and disheartened with the Swans?

Rocca I was happy to see the back of.
Piece of crap who couldn't accept where he was playing and cried and sooked and never played 100% for the team.

In fact most other players I have been OK with leaving the Swans.
                Many were past their prime.
Even Capper was half the player he was for the Swans when he went to the Bears.

I've always said that the Swans have been totally on top of their recruiting over the last 10 - 15 years.
People will always pick out washed up players who did nothing for the Swans, but they were usually a part of a deal for another player.

Even Dermie was worth his price in the publicity he generated.
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.

Licuria really didn't bother me. I didn't rate him at Collingwood either.

He would've slotted nicely into our midfield - another midfielder who turns the footy over with monotonous regularity

Rhys Jones for me, hated watching him play for Carlton

More recently though I would say Scotty Stevens always thought he could play and has become a valuable cog in the Crows side now.

Didn't they sell Wayne Carey, as a teenager, to North Melbourne for $10 or 15k. He was ours through a zoning system.

I think the owners were in real financial strife and were willing to cash any asset they could sell!

In hindsight, the Daniher deal was a shocker for us. We were blinded by Neville Fields and would have sold our soul to get him!

It was an early trial of the no dickheads policy. Imaging the rabble we would have been with him at the club in the 90s
