I think he'll be a very good player for a long time but I reckon he'll be one of the players to make way for Hall, Kennelly and Davis.

Birdy has got alot of potential but may need to go back to the twos to further hone his skills with more game time than he could ever get in the seniors.

      A long term star prospect.

Quite probably starting this weekend, if Kennelly is fit. Schmidt coming into the team to replace Kennelly wasn't really a like-for-like replacement but Schmidt was probably the only real replacement available. But now that Schmidt is in, I suspect he'll be persisted with and he plays a similar kind of game to Bird. The only other player I can see could make way is if they decide they were premature in bringing Malceski straight into the seniors. But I reckon they'll persist with Mal and give him time to find his feet at senior level.

At this stage it's impossible to pick who'll make way for Hall. No questions that he'll come straight back in when he's ready but hard to call who'll go out. And with Barlow still in contention when he gets over his injury, Nick Davis probably has his work cut out, regardless of how much form and "confidence" he finds in the twos. Monty may have had reason to be looking over his shoulder but he was terrific against Port.

          OK then....

          Here's a question to Ponder....

          Ponder this...... (Thanks Marty S)

Who would you rather have? Craig Bird or Matthew Kruezer?

You'd have to think Playfair will be the one to go for Hall. He has been OK, but I'm not sure about him against quality opposition.

As for Davis, I just have a feeling that Roos will play him. Given the way he has been used in the reserves, the coaching staff are obviously keen to play him in a different role. He has nearly served the month that Roos said he would. I have no idea who comes out for him, but there'll probably be an injury and a couple of poor performances against Richmond.

have to agree i think that Ablett should make way for davis then possibly LRT makes way for hall and playfair occasionally rotates up to defence

Hard to see why we need two bumbling talls like LRT or Playfair in the one team.....

Yep i also reckon that Playfair is a stronger mark than LRT

But not as good a kick, and that is saying something.

He's averaging 5.3 marks in his 3 games. not a bad effort, considering he only took one on Saturday.
Only Hall, MOL and ROK, are ahead of him in Avg contested marks.

It will be either Schmidt or Bird to make way for the Irishman.

Based on last weeks game, it will proably be Bird.

Bird I think. Be very surprised if Schmidt goes after one week and I think the club has a pretty high opinion of him. I know I do.

I think that Craig Bird was miles better this week, made some good decisions & got 2 goals
