Did anyone see Simon Black's dive today?? It was the daddy of all dives.
Yep, it would have made the Soccer Hall of Fame.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
The thing that will get him is that he ran past the ball, unlike Russell. Shame to see his streak ended, but he only has himself to blame, and really should have gone earlier.
Whether or not Swans players were being targeted (and whilst West Coast did appear to be acting like they had a point to prove I don't recall seeing anything overly out of line, or out of the ordinary) is relatively irrelevant in regards to Adam taking a dive.
Watching the telecast and seeing Adam's initial reaction I was both livid and concerned, considering the subsequent replay appeared to show he was barely (if at all) touched by the West Coast player suggests he did put on a pretty good show of trying to milk something. If the excuse that he was trying to milk something was to bring attention to the plight of the targeted Swan, what does he think of his own hit? It was certainly a lot worse than anything we saw from the Weagles (in/behind/before/during play) in the game.
I was just letting everyone know why they lost you over annalytical such 'n such
oh and btw, overacting did win us the game. ask jude
Also, maybe you should learn to quote in context too. Don't try and twist people's posts around to suit your own agenda
My first and only thought when I saw Goodes bump Selwood was: what a dumb act. He didn't need to do it because he had Selwood dead to rights as he was crouching over the ball and a simple wrap up tackle had a fair chance of getting a holding the ball decision.
In the HS this morning it says he has no carry over points because it is more than 12 months since the Godfrey incident where he collected 70 points. So a reprimand might be all he fets with a guilty plea.
The talk in the HS is about the fact he didn't miss a game with his previous 2 reports and should be taught a lesson. Weird stuff, I thought each charge is treated on it's merits and not what the media or irrational comments from talk back callers think.
That granny, Ivy, who does the rounds of all the radio stations in Melbourne is still hanging on to the Barry Hall incident as a lets say, bitter response to a humiliating defeat in the Preliminary Final of 2005.
