Agreed he is a very lucky boy to get away with this. I realise that the incident looked as soft as butter but this is what the AFL is trying to stamp out...they don't want to have a player in a wheelchair before they are seen to do anything...so whilst the contact was minimal, it was very stupid and should have gotten time...don't get me wrong, I am VERY happy though...thanks MRP!

Does anyone recall the Everitt incident that is described in that report? I don't remember anything that could even have warranted an investigation.

And does anyone know if the Selwood reprimand is for the tummy punch or the incident that led to Buchanan leaving the ground with a bloody cheek? I can't remember who it was who tickled Monty's tummy but one would have to assume it was the cheek incident, given the conclusions reached on other charges where the contact was deemed to be too insignificant to be a reportable offence.

Goodes needs to have a look at himself because what he did was dumb and unnecessary. He is very fortunate the contact was minimal and no damage was done.

Only got up to here in this thread, and from the limited footage I saw of the incident (didn't get to see the game) it looked as if Goodes was running in his normal running action.
Just how it looked to me.
And even then it looked very soft.
I'd say he got what was due

Goodsey accepted the reprimand. Smart decision, imo, even though he's out of the running of the Brownlow, at least he put team ahead of the individual, etc.
