Goodes needs to have a look at himself because what he did was dumb and unnecessary. He is very fortunate the contact was minimal and no damage was done.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Does anyone recall the Everitt incident that is described in that report? I don't remember anything that could even have warranted an investigation.

And does anyone know if the Selwood reprimand is for the tummy punch or the incident that led to Buchanan leaving the ground with a bloody cheek? I can't remember who it was who tickled Monty's tummy but one would have to assume it was the cheek incident, given the conclusions reached on other charges where the contact was deemed to be too insignificant to be a reportable offence.

Form the TV it really looked as though Buchy had had his face trodden on. There seemed to be a number of what looked like stud marks on his face. I certainly did not see the incident so am completely guessign, but that is what I thought it looked like at the time.

Nope, not at all. Nice to see Cox opting for the old school player's code of "nothing to see hear, move along".
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

                Goodes Escapes!!!! :0

I was just watching the news. Channel 10 has just reported that Goodes's charge has been classified as low impact and therefore with an early guilty pea he will escape with just a reprimand. The report went on to say that this decision is likely to draw interesting comments from the coaches of other teams who have lost players to suspension following similar instances.

ALL I can say if PHEW!!!
Not that it would have been a disaster..it's just good to know that he'll be able to continue his good form against the saints. And with barry back.....ohohoho look out saints!!!

Yep.. I remember it well actually.

It was on the wing, he dropped his bundle hoping to get a free kick, but the Swans got a free kick for a separate incident.

I am not sure why it was even brought up, Cox was barely touched.

My God you should hear that Mark Fine on SEN going ape over Adam Goodes getting off. I think it especially funny when half these commentators don't even
know the rules. He is being really nasty - what an idiot. By the way Goodes didn't get off once again he got the points.

I will repeat - mitigating circumstances. Selwood plays for the WCE therefore, he deserved it.

I actually always thought it was very low impact, but thought he'd get weeks because he always seems to be at the tribunal. I guess common sense prevailed.

Slightly different view of the decision in Eagleland...

i think it was a clumsy challenge at best. nothing too malicious, if he really wanted to size him up he could have done so. 2 weeks would have been harsh, but i can now breathe a bit easier.....
