I'd like to see Jim Main do an article on David Schwartz and his thoughts about football players

No sign of RWO there. But plenty of media outlets, encouraging blogging.

What a lot of rubbish. Questioning the selection of certain players is a part of being a supporter.

This would be a very boring place if everyone just got on here and said: "Oh Roosey knows what he's doing, who are we to question him."

Everyone is extremely grateful for the 2005 flag, but that doesn't make the coaching staff or the players immune from criticism.

Criticising people who do things for charity and altruism to the betterment of others is in poor taste.

However, the notion that Swans players are Christ like figures, playing for selfless reasons, is wide of the mark.

They get paid a @@@@load of money to go out there, although I suspect most would do it for free.

They should not be deified and are not above public opinion or indeed, scorn. Having said that, what we write on here says so much more about US than it does about the players. That's why RWO is interesting.

Stand in the outer of any footy match and you get the same mix. Lots of wisecracks, lots of garbage, the occasional gems.

Like Jim Main, I'm ticked off by people bagging Roosy, but if I heard it in the grandstand it wouldn't stop me from going to games.

This is where punters come to sound off. It just happens to be online.

(And if he thinks RWO is bad, wait till he checks out BF.)

having just got back from a few games in melbourne and sitting there while richmond fans "support" their team, i dont think we can ever say people here are bagging the team too much

As per usuals though the few really crictical posts/posters out shine the number of positive, inciteful, encouraging posts/posters.

It's not all bad, even on BF there are some positives.

We had some feedback from Myles last year about RWO, he even made a point of naming a few of the posters he was impressed with, who showed a keen incite into the game/team.

Well I find his article interesting - and considering he published one of my comments last year in Inside Football (without my permission!) it had good and bad in it. It was after the game that Barry Hall still played with injury that got progressively worse ( cant remember what round but from memory I commented that the club did the wrong thing by him and had him play - he should have missed a game) Spida filled the breach and had a blinder and my comment was "thank god for Spida" - Matthews was more atrocious than normal and I commented accordingly.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Not looking to start a debate, just assuming that he's referring to RWO. The rest of the article is here -

Inside Football: The Magazine the players read
So he still wants Ben Mathews in the team?

My dear god! I hope he is joking.

I prefer Bird and Barlow anyday even if they make mistakes, I can take mistakes from younger players unlike mistakes from senior players.
