It makes u wonder, hence connolly's interesting.

If you and others weren't so keen to stick it to connolly, you might actually see it yourself.
You are venturing into the same ridiculous territory as Connolly.

Since when did living in Sydney become a prerequisite to supporting the Swans? I am presuming when Davis was a junior footballer, it was the early 1990s and the Swans were @@@@house.

I played junior football in Sydney at exactly the same time and in my side there were no Swans supporters - not one, even though most had them as their second team.

I'll repeat what I asked earlier. How many players play for the team they barracked for as a kid? You find the answer to that and it will tell you how stupid the comment was.

As for "sticking it" to people, I have picked up on this particular posters attempts, even when they are without merit, to stick it to Davis. I have commented on very few of these considering the copious amount of them that he manages to produce.

In this case, he has quoted as fact something that Davis hasn't said. IIRC it was his manager (not a very good one) who's comments Roos was commenting on. He continually posts comments or third hand info as fact, but only when it suits his case against Davis.

In another thread, Nico was criticised for continually having a go at Jude Bolton, connolly's hatred for Davis makes Nico look like an amateur.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

            1. I really am too subtle for some here. I'll spell it out for you. Davis manager Thompson, who almost singlehandledly wrecked a season for the St George Dragons with divisive in-fighting planted this story. Its all part of an attempt to hawk yesterdays man to a club (WC) that has imploded because of a star player system. I know the story is bull because Davo has only ever been committed to himself. I really do hope this attempt to ingratiate himself to the illegals works. Many of their supporters are so guillable Thommo should throw in the Sydney Harbour Bridge as a job lot (FIGJAM is exhibit A). Their management is even more so, as apparently they weren't aware they had a drug problem is 06.
            2. You have stopped sniping Bevo because he has so obviously developed into a really valuable team player even the most vehement criticas have been reduced to silent admiration
            3. You called me stupid. Mate i've been worked over by experts. Like water off a swans back.

Who was that? Premiership medals are given to teams not individuals. Bevo won it deservedly. He played with courage and committment. Beat Lazarus decisvely in the critical third quarter. Perhaps the thug who made the gratutious comment at the time on tv expected him to commit a cowardly assault behind the play and break an opponents jaw? Couldn't give a flying toss what the Glenferrie crim has to say on anything. One things for sure Bevo shows more courage every week than that pumped up thug showed in his whole career.

You know the story is bull, but use it as evidence for your cheap shots at Davis.

You're dreaming. I stopped because it wasn't worth the waste of time trying to get you to see reality. Now I just laugh at the rubbish that you say about him. He has improved, but will only ever be an ordinary footballer.

I didn't call you stupid, I said your comment was. There is a big difference. If you think I called you stupid, then report the post, the other mods willdeal with it.

Agree Bevo has developed and so he should. To say we have a silent admiration for him - stretches it a tad far. He still has some faults.

I hope that the pedestal you have placed him on isn't too high, for when and if he falls ( I hope he doesn't).

But now back to topic - Does anyone know the true extent of his injury?

As it will have a considerable affect on interest in him should he decide he really wants out.

i don't hate Davis but i do think that his attitude for the last two seasons is UNACCEPTABLE. More to the point those who promote a star player system (a campaign pushed by player managers for the ten percentage) would turn the club back to what it was in the eigthies - a (slow) running joke. The meek may inherit the earth (lets hope so) but they dont win footy matches or premierships.

The point is well made by Bob. We learn about loyalty in our formative years, many of us wearing the red and white and following the club through thick and thin. Some apparently don't experience this. It shows.

So to remain loyal, Davis should have been a career player at West Coast?

Do you really need this put up on a pulsating neon sign. This "story", which is in my opinion not true, is put out to the media, just as the club which is in a form slump, trying to focus on the run into the finals. The story is a crude attempt to interest our fiercest recent rivals in recuiting Davis who is a contracted employee of the club. I won't use the word player because he will never play for us again. So no loyalty to the club, no consideration of the task at hand, no assistance off the field with the premiership this year. No, Davis and his "management" basically have demonstrated they couldn't give a toss about the club, its efforts and his team mates. If Davis doesn't want this nonsense put out he should terminate Thompson's contract as agent and issue an apology to his teamates, the club and us, the loyal supporters who have followed the club through good times and bad. Or he can just sod off. On reflection - he can just sod off.
