Actually there's nothing saying that you can't be dropped from the extended squad even if you're in the starting 18. But it happens so rarely that it's almost a given that he will play.

I just hope Smith plays too.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

If someone could please give us a short CV for Matthew O'Dwyer,
where does he play what his his height, weight, ball skills, kicking skills, running game etc... that would be much appreciated.

It is auspicious to make a debut against Carltank. Malceski did that in round 11, 2005. In that game, Malceski started on the ground at half forward, kicked a goal with his first kick and was put in the centre at the start of the last quarter when the game was in the balance and helped turned the game in our favour. If the MOD can do some of that in his first game then he would be going okay.

I agree, he's got excellent pace and needs to be given a fair go,like others before him, McVeigh and Grundy spring to mind. Considering he spent most of last weeks game on the pine, he did a couple of good things when he was on, and chased well, he's quick.

Very happy that O'Dwyer is in the side but what's the deal with Ben Mathews being added to the squad...

                  Why?

In the light of O'Dwyer's imminent debut, thought people might enjoy being reminded of this article from a couple of months back. Wonder if his living arrangements are still the same - and therefore if he's been caught in the crossfire from the lurve triangle.

There is one question that renders this young Swan speechless. That?s what it would mean for him to be elevated to the senior list and solidify his position at the club. This line of enquiry is followed by much silence and then one solitary word. ?Awesome?.

                        From the same article:

Originally from Melbourne, O?Dwyer, who made his debut for the Swans in their NAB Cup Opener against Hawthorn, is enjoying life in the Harbour City and states a better quality of ?beaches and girls? as the main positives from his move interstate.

                        Alright, son, alright!

Matty O wont make the difference unfortunately. We need Hall in there.

Great to see the unbiased views of the guys on the Marngook show last night who said that if Hall is fit then pick him. None of this , lets get his head right stuff. Reading between the lines in Hall column today , he is basically saying the same thing.

Nice also to see the other melbourne centric views on fox footy teams where they still believe that Halls hit was far worse than solomon. What a croc!

                              Damn.

In light that you knew when Smith got his callup against Geelong hours before it was announced, u obviously either know him or know someone that does and I have no doubt u will be proven correct.

Let him know he has a few fans on RWO disappointed for him as well.
