Same number of scoring shots, yet never in it lose by 30 points....same as against the Bulldogs
"I'll acknowledge there are more talented teams in the competition but I won't acknowledge that there is a better team in the competition" Paul Roos March 2005
I don't doubt you could have said the same thing about Kirk when he was 19.
Christ, of those the only one the Captain is better than average in the league, even now he's in his thirtys is tackling. He's still a gun.
Not quite sure what your sentence says but, Bird looks to be average at best to me. Yeah I know he is young but he's not going to get too much better IMHO.
Demand answers for this! Shocking......why do Roos and Co seem to put up with repeat offenders....time to start clearing the list and getting some real skill into our squad.
We will never make in-roads to the finals with this team
For a guy of his age, he has great vision and timing on the field and he is strong through the hips. I think his disposal this year has been very very good. By all accounts, he also has great aerobic capacity. He has the kit to be a real Sam Mitchell play maker player for the Swans.
Everyone has a bad day from time to time. Writing off the career of a talented 19 y.o. on the basis of a poor half of footy is weird.
Bookmark me Legs - I'll stand by my judgement. I've seen a few and to be honest Bird doesn't excite me at all. Yep, I know he's only 19 but I am not as interested in him as I was seeing Malceski for 1 NAB cup game at 18.
Hope he proves me wrong but Jack is a far better prospect ATM.

I agree.
Jack a better prospect Bird doesnt look like a league player, proabably better at lower level where lack of skill isnt highlighted as much.

Okay. Bookmarked. Let's check in on the situation in 3 years and you can owe me a beer.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.
The was as bad as it gets. The same blokes play well every week:ROk, Kirk Mattner, Jolly and um, er, mmm can't find anyone else. Looked at the team in the paper again, maybe Moore tried hard. Did we miss Henry? Maybe so.
I think I will jump off the LRT wagon, he was awful.
We can't be expected win with his horrible effort, Everitt at snails pace, Goodes (what in the hell was he doing in the team, made him look foolish) and that imposter Mathews. If ever there was a bloke picked to get towards a milestone he was it. No matter how well he has supposedly been playing in the 2's he clearly has lost it by a long way at this level.
To play Mathews was an insult to the younger players at the club. Surely Brennan was a better option or White. I'd love someone to mount a case for Mathews being picked because of matchups.
Every time we play Collingwood or Adelaide we play an ultra defensive game of tag, upon tag, upon tag. Bevan's been good in an attacking role this year but again given a tagging role so had no obvious positive affect, but probably did his role OK.
But what really stood out to me was when we get on a greasy or dewy surface we are simply useless.
Why is it our forwards lead to the boundary? Sure Adelaide had players back but many times we opted on a back kick from just outside 50, refused to go top of the square. Surely a pack at the top of the square puts more pressure on than on a pack on the boundary 20 metres out. Hence we kick 17 points.
On Kennelly, no argument that he is getting the footy but he is making horrible disposal decisions and is giving away frees at will. I think the only remedy is put him on the wing and see if he can break the lines up forward, because sure as hell no else is.
