Other than a senseless injury...

Anyone who thinks Nick Davis would have had any major effect on our appalling form is kidding themselves. He is a gifted 'icing' player, he broke one game open to good effect and for that alone I will be eternally grateful. I seem to remember when he did play this season not only did he not chase and tackle but his conversion rate was not up with the best.Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun
I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren -

Where does the OP ask whether or not Nick Davis would have made a difference?
Bob Skillton, Tony Lockett and Dale Lewis would have trouble lifting this side to a competitive level at the moment. The thread asks what was achieved?
Is it really that hard to read the post before responding to it?Comment

Skilton is looking as though he is his late sixties and would have to do a big pre season. Plugger is also a bit long in the tooth but with the new rules in marking duels may kick a lazy four or five. As for Lewie his fitness may let him down at present. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment
