    My summary:
Hall - what a much better player he is when he is a team man. Absolutely outstanding game.
Buchanan - best game for a couple of years. Had his old run back and made a huge difference in the midfiled.
Jude - kept up his consistency and again kept his feet most of the time.
Bevo - struggled to keep up with Grant but he didn't make many glaring mistakes. I didn't hink he was that bad. North only kicked 11 goals.
Goodes - class second half and really made a difference on the ball.
ROK - top second half and those long penetrating kicks made a huge impact.
Spida - no. When he went on the ball in the 3rd Q North kicked 2 quick goals from quick centre clearances.
McVeigh - went to another level.
Crouch - struggled, but like Bevo was part of a backline that only conceded 11 goals.
    Kirk -A star.
Malceski - Looked a bit soft.
LRT - always hard to assess.
    Richards - good last Q.
Kennelly - good last quarter and seemed to be a loose man.
Leo - Actually got better as the game went on.
Mattner - serviceable and hard as usual.
    Bolts - Serviceable without starring.
    Vespa - lovely cameo.
Jack - his best game by far and went to another level.
Ablett - generally poor but did a couple of OK things in the last q.
Jolly - I reckon Roos has rested him the last few weeks because he was superb.
Moore - Just worked so hard all game. Went to the finals level.

        Right on Moggo.

        Friggin disgraceful.

Two of the members who sit next to me at the SCG got me to get tickets for them (they transferred $$'s into my a/c on Thurs) ... they rang me at 3pm to say "it's too wet".

Idiot fair weather supporters. Missed the best game we've had all year. We sat three rows from the front and were only very lightly "sprinkled" on (from the rain dirty minders) ... wasted a good poncho!!

I saw JF (Jules) on the way to the station tonight after the game (backed me up wishing the shinboners luck in the VFL) ... what a huge effort he's put in this year - Canberra / Sydney / Melbourne - I've seen him at every game I've been to. Huge, HUGE effort son!!

Can't believe I forgot to mention Goodes. He just scared the crap out of North everytime he hunted the ball.

Did you see Kirk when interviewed after the game? He wouldn't have blown out a candle. Looked like he could go another 4 quarters. Unbelievable, he found another 5 gears in the second half.

When Goodesy slipped in the first five minutes, my heart dropped to my feet.

What a time for Goodesy to get back into form!!

I'm so happy. So very happy!!!

Honestly, if we lost next week ... I'm STILL happy. We will go down in AFL history as being the team who sent the shinboners to the VFL. Grant's retired. They've got nothing now.

                BTW ... Kanga????? Where r u?????

Great summary Nico. It really demonstrates how hard they all worked for each other. That was what was missing in the first qtr. I have to say kudos to Crouch. His game on Harvey freed up Kizzer and he was very dangerous.
                  I LOVE THAT!~!!!!

I second that great summary Nico.

Just have to say Kirk and McVeigh in that 3rd Quarter was unbelievable, especially during all those stoppages which ultimately led to the Goodes goal from the boundary line, etc.

Absolutely loved Garry Jack cheering on Kieran.

Great to see Hall back to his best. When Goodes or ROK get the ball, there's a feeling of confidence that something positive will happen. Kieran Jack has proven he is up to it at finals level. A great performance by most, especially in the second half.

                        Loved beating the Roos!

Absolutely agree. I normally hate Homebush to watch footy but the atmosphere tonight was great... except for the people in front of me who objected when I felt obliged to lecture Ray Chamberpot on the laws of footy.

                          Bring on the doggies!

Did you really rate his game that highly? I am going to have to watch this game again I think - he frustrated me so many times tonight (particularly his staging for free kicks when the ball was still there to be won).

Revenge is sweet Versing the Roos. Great to put them away in 08.
Loved seeing Laidley looking out a job as a window cleaner.... beautiful.
A great game to be at.
I don't get the many wimpish supporters staying away for this game which was one you would not forget for a v long time.
Would like to know something about the Roos address ar 1/2 time, or did he just give them all a kick up the backside.
Well done Swans , a massive second half, the intestiny was fantastic.
"He was proud of us when we won and he was still proud of us when we lost' Tami Roos about Paul Sept 06.
