Bruest was a regular top-up player with the reserves last year and impressed on many occasions. He was probably more impressive overalll than Beckmans, this year's rookie, though he was also pretty reasonable as a top-up.

Hopefully we can pick up a Riverina boy or two - keep the NSW flavour up. I saw a bit of Kade Klempke in the U18's Championships - he's also mentioned in the article - he seemed like a good-un too.

          KKP
          Shaun Mckernan- KP Fwd /Ruck
          Jordan Isle- KP Back
          Either one would be great.

          Mids
Sam Blease- Super fast, good skills.
Mitch Robinson- Good height, fast, good skills
Steele Sidebottom- Great name, hard at the ball, quick.

Id be happy with any of these kids, though if Sam Blease is available, and we go for a midfielder first up we should get him.

I mentioned in another thread a ruckman at the Eastern Ranges by the name of Renton. Murray Bushranges v Eastern Ranges at the weekend, 1st v 8th. Result 1st wins a close one by a couple of goals.

            Best for Eastern: Renton.

I am advised, could be steal in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Surely you made up his name?! He could take a Leo 05 GF type mark and when they screamed his name, we'd all just laugh instead

There was a Sidebottom who played league in the very old days, for Souths I think. It's actually a relatively common name. By the way, if you NOK the DOK with a ROK he'll need a DOK so maybe we should have two DOC's.(lame I know)

Not getting confused with Kevin Longbottom by any chance?

Now listen Sonny, you're getting your bottoms confused

It was Kevin Longbottom who played fullback for Souths. Story about him scoring in Norm Provens last game here:

                    H I S T O R Y O F S T G E O R G E

A search of "bottom" yielded interesting results. For example, Andrew Johns has a cork in his bottom :: ABC New South Wales

with a name like Sidebottom, what's the bet you would be thwe butt of many jokes

Garry Sidebottom used to play in the VFL for St Kilda, Geelong and Fitzroy. You wouldn't have laughed at him, he could be pretty scary.

Steele S'bottom can seriously play and will almost definately be top ten if not top 5!He is a very skilled midfielder who would walk into our ones.

Dylan McNeil ? what a great Celtic name and from the Riverina too, albeit the southern end.

Do you know if the AFL makes a full list available prior to the draft? I understand there's up to 1,000 players on that list.
