I suprised we didn't draft Matthew DeBoer if we were going for a medium defender.

BIO
Medium midfielder who is strong overhead and a prolific ball-winner. Runs hard for his team and is courageous in his attack on the ball. Had outstanding NAB AFL Draft Camp with top 10 finishes in the 30m repeat sprint test (24.97secs, ranked second), 20m spring (2.92 seconds, ranked eighth) and 3km time trial (10mins 53 secs, ranked seventh). WA State U18 Representative in 2008, winning All-Australian honours. Swanbourne JFC.

He isn't a one trick pony out of the goal square. Clearly runs around and covers a lot of ground, and looks like he thinks about his game.

Not complaining, just an observation. Something inconsequential given where he plays. I am very happy with the pick.
