Meanwhile, media reports linking former Sydney captain Barry Hall and the Western Bulldogs, were yesterday dismissed by the Bulldogs. Hall, who is contracted to the Swans for another year, will not be at the Whitten Oval in 2009 according to Bulldogs general manager of football operations James Fantasia, despite the Bulldogs' ongoing search for a key forward.
    Looks pretty clear to me.

Yeah, he could have kicked a behind, but he didn't and it won us the match. The win gave our team the belief and confidence which lead to premiership glory.

furthermore, he kicked another three goals that quarter, one of which was better than the clincher. of course he didn't do it alone, but he did much much more than anyone else that night.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Also played well in the first final against the Eagles which some people conveniently forget. Pretty good big game player Davo.

Also pretty well and lots of effort in '06 grandfinal but people like to forget that one

Yep, he and Kirk tried to drag the Swans back for back to back, and almost did in the second half.

Only if you take their word on face value. The trade period is primarily the ability to bluff the opposition after all isnt it?

Would the Bulldogs necessarily telegraph their moves before the trade period starts? I'm sure if the right deal was there they would be very keen - they're sadly lacking in the big man department.

Had the odd snazzy patch or two in the 2006 PF too.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

So, using that logic, if they said they were interested, they aren't.

Davo was Ok in 06 , did give us a target all day. Saying he was dragging us back to back , well you have me confused with someone else.

Kirky & Teddy Richards were the blokes dragging us back into that game

I will stand up and say I do not wish to lose Davis nor Hall from the Swans.

I don't think there is much chance of us keeping Davis - but I do.

I do not think the way they shoved Nick into the reserves was right.

I do not think that is the way you learn to tacke and defend more.

Barry Hall has caused many frictions in the club - with suspensions etc but I do feel he is fine for at least another year.
                        Love those Swans

Let me put it to you another way - a way that I didn't want to bring up as I will probably get shot down (but feel free to bookmark this).

My understanding is that the Barry Hall to Bulldogs deal is very close with Hall being reasonably happy with what they are telling him!!!

My source is from someone within the Bulldogs camp - in the inner sanctum!

Again feel free to bookmark this, but I can tell you the Dogs are very interested and Hall is also warming to the idea.

according to Andrew Ireland, Barry Hall is staying put.

A question for Connolly - has Hall breached his employment contract?

                                Hall is staying.

the Swans who, at this stage, are not willing to give him a longer deal.
