We also have other forward options without Hall - MOL is still useful in a pocket and if Davis comes back he would be another option a la Williams of Hawthorn. We have some useful crumbers too and Bevan would make a useful forward pocket to apply defensive pressure. We do need to stop putting J Bolton in the forward line.
I prefer Bevan up forward to down back.

Wow you sound like a real charmer. Have you even met the bloke? Did he run off with your missus or something?

Thinking the guy is overrated is one thing, wishing him physical harm is another. What a rubbish post.

Again absurd notion that Davis should take the kudos for the 05 flag. Again if Ball hadn't contested the ball up..would his deft little tap found Nick Davis?

What about the other variables that contribute to that game?

Again the 05 flag was won by 22 guys not one, as much as the usual suspects would like to just credit Nick Davis for the win.

Did i say i wished physical harm on him? I didn't think "nod my head and keep walking" is considered as wishing physical harm on someone. Stop making up something that you wish i said.

And yes he is so overrated it makes me sick.

OK, so you are one-eyed, you are aiming all your vitriol in a single direction. How is this : The entire team, including Nick Davis, managed what, 4 or 5 goals to 3 quarter time? A spray from Kirk in the direction of Davis when the man Davis was minding kicked a goal, seemed to do the trick. All of a sudden we had a dangerous forward loose all over their paddock. He was hit 4 times, he scored 4 times, for 4 goals, as much as the whole team managed in 3 quarters. Davis deserves to be talked about and held in regard for giving us a shot at the flag that year - A shot that the team converted to our first in 72 years.

If not for Davis, what variables from the team do you think could have given us four goals in the quarter if that was all they could collectively manage for 3?

A post in which you envisage someone in physical distress where you state you'd nod (presumably in approval) and do nothing to help.

                  Close enough.

No. Well assuming he didn't punch one of our players that is

What is your problem? No sense of humour? Or no sense of reality?

BTW the other variables are that Davis kicked 4 out of 7 goals for the Swans, he also played what is felt by many to be the best ever qrtr of football in a final by an individual.

To me he is just another player, but that one qrtr of football will live on in my memory for ever, as will his feats of that night.

Again, you need to read posts before you respond. I never said it was all Nick Davis, just that without him we wouldn't have got further than the SF, so we would have waited more than 72 years for a flag.

You don't seem to get it. Yes, every player is necessary for the win, but not sufficient. Without Davis' last quarter effort we quite simply would not have won.

Nothing about Barlow says CHF to me. He doesn't have the presence, agro or a certain je ne se quai if you ask me.

I find it strange that he is constantly mentioned as a potential CHF.

I think he has the size and mobility. He's also a very good kick. Not sure about his marking yet. The presence aspect may (or may not) come with a little experience.

No. I don't boo players. But it will be interesting to see some responses if he does and he hits someone!!
