ROK - Re signs with swans for 4 years. (Confirmed)
I don't understand this fascination with going back home, isn't he an adult?
You can't choose what city you want to live in if you're an adult? There is nothing wrong with ROK choosing to move back to Melbourne.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."
Like I said, weak. Loyalty is dead, but that's no suprise.
Loyalty in what way? Does the club always show loyalty? No - it makes the decisions that suit it and the players should do the same.

Loyalty in sticking with the club that stuck by him. O'Keefe was rubbish in his early years and now he takes his medallion and runs off home when he's only got 3-4 years left anyway?
If that's not weak to you, then I'm not sure what would be.
I think it's more a case of him wanting to go to a club which has a better chance of winning the premiership in the next 4 years than we do.
He can't hate Sydney that much if he's managed to live there for this long. I don't think it's a coincidence that he wants to leave at the same time our premiership window has well and truly closed.

That makes it even worse. If true, he must be an extremely shallow person.
Im warming to the Hawks first pick at 16 and either Tim Boyle or Beau Dowler.
Or Geelong's first pick at 15 and a suitable fringe player,
Or Western Bulldogs first pick at 14 and a suitable fringe player.
Or another way of looking at it, St Kilda second pick (29?) and Sam Gilbert.
Love ROK and if he wants to stay then end of discussion, but it does give us some capacity to end up with two 1st rounders in a strong draft and a ready made fringe player to help over the next couple of years.
If we ended up with 12 and either of 16. 15, 14 I would want us to go KP all the way.

"Looking forward to a rebuilt, new, fast and exciting Swans model in 2010"

Beau Dowler would be ideal as a sweetener. We really need to start developing a key forward and if we get one who has been in the system for a few years we should see a muh smoother transition when Hall goes.
Just watching On the Couch. Mike says that OKeefe is gone. He is not interested in Swans offer. Wants to go back to Melbourne. Big loss to Swans and no guarantee they'll get anything in return.
I must have been watching a different program. They're all a bit perplexed. Mike wonders if it could be the go home factor. heard nothing about getting nothing for him.
All supposition.
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.
