What are people whining about? We thought he'd gone for sure and now we've got him back. It's like securing a highly talented recruit - we all should be rapt. He is so far ahead of the alternatives such as Lovett and Green that its not funny.

A week ago we were coming to grips with the PSD and effectively replacing him with a draft pick in the seventies. Now we've got a top ten choice with experience built in. Let's just be happy our club was strong enough not to ship him out for a second rounder which would have been the equivalent for what we though Chambers was worth!
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

Don't rate the coach and he's here for the long haul. Hate the star forward and he's here for four years. Hate most of the midfield... Some of you think Adam Goodes should be on his last chance. Your favourite player has been given the boot... Not much left in it for some of you.

For the record, welcome back Rhino. Can't wait to see you sticking it up the supporters who showed a complete lack of faith. I think you're twice the player Nick Davis is and I reckon you'll prove it over the next 12 months.
You can shove the "faith" bs where the sun don't shine, quite frankly.

He signed because he couldn't get to a Victorian club, plain and simple. I'm very happy that he's staying and he'll continue to be one of my favourite players to watch, but don't pretend this is some kind of lovey-dovey fairytale.

ROK's my fav player, feel like the last few weeks have thrown me all about.
I understand the family aspect, I also understand footy is his job and like any of us he is allowed to look for employment elsewhere, but this has left me a little broken hearted even though I am beyond happy he is staying...

Ughhh...you all know how I feel. My new fav player is Jack, cause that kid AINT GOING NOWHERE.... hes playing for the team he supported as a kid.

His image as a Swans player will be tainted for the rest of his playing days. It will be hard to watch him next year and not be reminded of how he would rather be playing for Carlton or Hawthorn over us.

What a load of rubbish. That might be the case in your mind (and that of a few other vocal people on these boards), but he is hardly going to be thought of as 'tainted' in the public at large.

He has been a great servant of the club in the past, and now he has four more years to continue that service. No-one will give a rats half-way through next season, about something that didn't eventuate during the off-season.

                I'm glad he stayed.

But he publically stated that he would rather play for Hawthorn or Carlton instead of us. I'm just saying some people will find that hard to forget. Personally I'm angry that we will have a player out there in 09 who would rather be somewhere else.

When did he say that? Must have missed those quotes.

I still think its pathetic for him to pretend he desperately needed to get back to Melbourne, then settle for FOUR years in Sydney.....I get the feeling we fans are being played for fools. I will be extremely livid & vocal if he doesn't give 100%. Despite some people's adulation on here, he's definitely gone missing sometimes in the past.

Some of us on here are becoming worse than Richmond supporters. We are not privy to what really happened, only what is reported and some isolated interviews here and there. Clearly the matter was not handled well, probably from all sides, but it is time to move on, forget the bickering, support ROK as we always have and let him play as the professional he is. As far as all of this talk about disloyalty we read here, personally I find it somewhat disturbing.

He kept his trap shut during trade week but Roosy has stated that ROK wanted to leave us and go to Carlton.

Roos said Carlton was O?Keefe?s preferred destination but the Blues made no effort to do a deal, concentrating instead on luring ruckman Robert Warnock from Fremantle.
IMO we would be better off backing a young guy who genuinely wants to play for us.

Agree, apart from the "not handled well". There were aspects that frustrated us, certainly, and probably ROK and the club. But the fact that both parties managed to conduct themselves privately throughout the process such that "reconciliation" has been possible (and relatively painless by the sounds of it) indicates a high degree of professionalism by both the club and ROK himself.
