LHO never tested positive to drugs. Must have been a second shooter.

I don't think anyone bought that but if you were to look into the story a little further you would find he admits to taking the steriod it was the reason behind him taking it in the first place that I was refferring to. I understand your view point, but its your total lack of compassion for a guy like Charles that gets my goat. You will never know what a guy like that.....

This is about Ben Cousins, not Alan Didak.

I note some of the Tigerland fans are now starting to worry that other teams will select Cousins before they get to use their second pick. That's the type of concern I would have liked to see from Swan's members a few months ago.

Holding out for a decision frrom the AFL at 2.30.

i bet those clubs have been doing some backdoor talking as to whether they should or shouldn't and i bet Ricky & or Ben have been doing the rounds..

              Look at it this way..
if a club selects him it will go 2 ways, the club will be shown the risk was too risky and Ben falls from grace or he has a bumper year or 2 and every other club is left wondering...

Consdiering our membership, crowds and fan base are down, he would have been good for us from a marketing point of view as it would aqhve brought new fans to games just to see him play or at the very least increase in TV ratings for swans games...But not too be.........

5 mins to go for AFL announcement....

                Richmond knocked back.....one pick only.

Richmond are just drumming up publicity.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

How did they rule the difference between Ramanauskas and Polak?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Ramanauskas was out of contract, Polak is not.

I think Demitriou got this one right. The rules already allow for this exact thing, place a player on the long term injury list, you can elevate a rookie.

The AFL doesn't concern itself with precedents.

Apparently because there are already rules in place to deal with Pollack's situation or something.

Word is Richmond is going to have a press conference at 5.00.

Coach Terry is in the know - is he still on the Swans payroll by the way?

Not that I'm saying I disagree with the logic, but surely the long term injury list is for someone injured in the lead up to or in the course of the current season normally?

I wonder if the AFL would have allowed it if they voided his contract in some manner then signed him again?
