Had a chance during a well earned lunch break to have a squiz at a Fox replay of the come back kid against the maggots. Very interesting. Didn't see any knock to the scone. The little scallywag also appears to have a carer on the boundary. He also appeared to be chatting away at the end of the game and went onto the field to shake hands with the maggots. Then he is admitted to casualty for observation with a suspected concussion??? Still its good to see the Tiges showing such concern. Apparently the waxed clean skin is regularly tested at training. He can (and hopefully will be) subjected to additional unscheduled drug testing by the anti-doping agency. If Cuz was a racehorse that kind of testing regime with no mandatory competition day testing would be laughed off the course

But he's not, so that has to be the most stupid argument you have ever put on these boards. Keep it up, your posts are getting more and more laughable every day. Maybe it is you who needs some testing?

Either that, or he needs to take out an intervention order against you, as you appear to be as obsessed with him as you are with Bevan.

            Now now.
He has a point. He should be tested every comp day.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

As there hasn't been a "real" game played in the season yet, who said he won't be?

Connolly's argument was about horse racing, that has nothing to do with AFL footballers. Which is typical of his style of debate. Losing an argument, so change the subject.

The issue is not the sport but effective drug testing in sport. Believe it or not thoroubred and standard bred horse racing is legally defined as a sport. Greyhounds aren't but we won't go into that here. Cousins is an admitted (former if you beleive him or not if if you don't) addicted user of a species of drug that is WADA listed as a performance enhancer and prohibited from use in competition in all sports throughout the world. WADA (the first letter of the acronym is "World") has jurisdiction over all sports of all signatory countries (of which Oz is one). So the protocol under which he has been allowed to compete in the AFL is that he submits to a program of a minimum number of tests every week. As a sporting competator under WADA jurisdiction he is also compelled to submit to random mandatory testing by the national anti-doping agency. The point is this. Methamphetamine is dispersed from the body usually after twenty four hours of use and is undetectable by testing. This is one of the reasons that Cousins did not record a positive during his time of admitted methamphetimine abuse. The other was and is the complete inadequacy of AFL in competition testing for methamphetimine. For Cousins, an admitted user of methamphetimine (which is a particularly difficult addiction to break) not to be subject to madatory testing on match day, whether in official programmed matches or NAB Cup is ludicrous. I used the example of thoroughbred and standard bred racing (under WADA jurisdiction through the International Equestrian Federation affiliation) because mandatory drug testing and steward survelliance of questionable stables and their horses is commonplace and is expected as part of the attempt to establish some integrity in the sport. The clown Demetriou ran a campaign against "boring"football while his mate slept at the wheel over in the west as a dangerous drug culture overtook a football club that played in two premierships and won one. And Cousins led the implosion of that club.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

If every player were to be tested on game day and say mid week - imagine the jobs it would create!!!! (Kevvy & Waswa would be thrilled)

I'm still not a fan of the 3 strikes and you are out rule when you allegedly have 6 players on their 2nd strike and they have the benefit of privacy & confidentiality. I would consider they are doing pretty much the same as what Cousins did. Cousins was put through the wringer for admitting he was doing the gear, yet he never tested positive to any ASADA testing. I'm still no fan of the boy - but I feel that the rules are flawed when it comes to Cousins versus the rest.

The piss testers can walk in at half time and say piss into this cup for me please.
That's where the "random" bit comes in.
They can also turn up to training unannounced; or, they can ring up and make an appointment with the team.

I would say the other 6 who are on their second strike are probably more protected than Cousins because they are still doing the gear and have got away with it thus far.
