Don't think so, because MOL and Leapin' don't count towards the 35 we need to be down to by COB tomorrow.
What I am less sure about is whether they've changed the rules re the number of rookies you could retain. It used to be a maximum of 3 but it is highly probable that they've changed this.

As a sub text i was working today in a bar and i saw Patty V and K Jack walk past they stopped and looked considered coming in for a beer then decided not to i shouold have made them come in, a little dissapointed in myself.
They looked in good shape doing some shopping in melbourne before pre seaon next month
From the AFL website we have 3 ND selections and 7 rookie selections. Does this suggest we are going to load up on youth as the rookie list has had a fair old cleanout?
It looks to me like we might be going to stock pile some juniors with the height we so badly need, given our plethora of midfielders.
Thornton was "in the best 22" IIRC quote from Roos when he did his knee....ergo, put your house on him being re drafted...maybe Faulks too to the rookie list.

Without thinking about draftees, elevated rookies etc this creates a list that is very interesting looking to the next 3 years or so, when with Gold Coast and West Sydney there will be slim picking in drafts
I have tried to categorise the squad based on where they are, where they will be in a few seasons, not looking too far ahead, i.e 3 years only
Safe for now but gone in a year or so - Kirk, Hall, O'Loughlin, Kennelly
Safe and should be there for 3 years - Goodes, Ryan O'Keefe, C Bolton, Richards, Malceski, McVeigh, Mattner, J Bolton, Jolly
Seemingly safe but need to improve - Buchanan, Ablett, Bevan, Roberts-Thomson, Shaw
On the rise, young and only going to get better - Bird, Jack, Veszpremi, Moore
On the fringe, gone after next year - Barry, Crouch
Almost passed it, make or break after injury - Fosdike
On the fringe, make or break next season - Brabazon, Thornton, Laidlaw, Schmidt, Daniel O'Keefe, White, Faulks, Barlow, Meredith, Smith, O'Dwyer, Playfair, Grundy, Bruce
On the fringe, still in development - Currie, Murphy, Orreal
Totally unknown quantity - Mike Pyke
You can throw a few around a bit, e.g. Malceski could still be on the improve, Bevan had a great year so maybe he doesnt 'need' to improve to hold his place? If Fossy does come back after injury he would be in the safe, 3 more years category. Who knows when Tadhg may go?
Assuming the development players come through (or at least two of them) we need to find 5-ish quality players from the following category within the next season, maybe two
Brabazon, Thornton, Laidlaw, Schmidt, Daniel O'Keefe, White, Faulks, Barlow, Meredith, Smith, O'Dwyer, Playfair, Grundy, Bruce
For various reasons they havent been able to gain or cement a senior place. The Swans have shown alot of faith in them going forward but 2009 could be there last chance to show that they are going to be AFL footballers, who could play 100-200 games
Great effort, but disagree on Meredith and Playfair. If fit (maybe that is the question) Playfair will be in starting 22 and Meredith is just 19, by our standards a high-ish draft pick, rated a good disposer, got injured in his first season, hardly a Grundy or Schmidt?
Barlow too would surely be on safer ground than most of those, unless he has lost all that promise? What is the story there with Barlow, any inside goss on where he is at?
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun
I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren
I thought we had a good scholarship player ready to draft (Nathan Something?)...obviously not as the other scholarship elevations are listed in the AFL list.
Also we have Pyke and Coney(?) as international rookies so that leaves just 3 Senior and 3 Rookie picks.
