Plus, it has allowed me to buy good seats at Manuka, because ground level in a pocket at Manuka is a horrible way to watch footy.

However, I am contemplating this membership this season, as getting to Sydney is getting more difficult as the family grows up. Can anyone tell me what sort of seats are reserved for the Canberra Country members?
Probably worth giving the club a call, they should know what they are offering, but then it might be too early for them to have finalised details.

Oh no, aother cap. I hope this one has a better design than the last few years with that stupid looking redneck front part. What about a scarf instead.

Hopefully for the Canberra deal it would be reserved seats in the Bradman stand or one of the covered stands... I wouldnt be happy with the price otherwise.

That's what I'm thinking. Bet it wont be though. It will be in bay pocket, 12 inches below ground level.

Football membership is no longer easy to retain...it seems there is no limit to what our unelected board of directors decides to suck from us. Am I now to be forced from my seat by their avarice? Its all take and input is denied. Paul Kelly aside you wouldn't give the grubs the time of day.

Dallas Cowboys in the US have just built a new stadium.Good seats (not the best, but pretty good) require a USD50,000 one time payment as a seat option, then USD 3900 per year.No parking included. 9 home games and options to buy final tickets.

If that's the case, I'll give the club $1500 for 2 tickets to Manuka, make sure I walk there, and be grateful for the privilege

I'm not sure what your example says, except that the demand for NFL seats has always been OTT, and the some people cannot seem to stand any criticism at all of the club.

Wow, pretty unreasonable increase for my membership next year, not really impressed with that to be honest. I'll have to consider downgrading to the Red Zone with Premiership Club. $350 to 400 is more than enough to spend on 11 games and three magazines.

Further to my earlier...Liverpool F.C . in England is 750 quid a year(and seasons tickets are not available for mANY YEARS,,THEIR WORDS)...Collingwood is 495 for what seems to be the equivalent to our premium.memberships. Thought people may be interested to see what others pay.
I'm sure the swans will be delighted to take your 1500 ROK, although what the swipe about criticism meant I have no idea. But you do live in the ACT so....

So you agree with the price increases? Unfortunately they've lost one member, I'll still be going to as many games as I can... just not as a member

I finally dug up a 2008 membership booklet from the net, and did a quick comparison...

If you used to have Adult Stand Seats, and you are now....

                          Platinum : UP $65
                          Gold : DOWN $15
                          Silver : DOWN $95

If you used to have Adult Concourse Seats, and you are now....

                          Gold : UP $60
                          Silver : DOWN $20
                          Bronze : DOWN $100

If you used to have Members Reserve memberships...

                          Red Zone : DOWN $20

So it's really only the top category of seating from stand and concourse that are getting a price hike.

I don't like price raises, but in principle I agree with the concept of graded seating. If you want a better seat, you should have to pay more for it.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Well, given the post was about the prices offered for seats in Dallas, and was in the Swans membership thread, I assumed you were offering a comparison, and letting us know that we were lucky to get our seats so cheap, and once again come to the defence of the club and the establishment. If you weren't, I guess you just posted in the wrong forum.

We couldn't justify our Full Vic membership this season due to being away a number of times, so we took out supporter membership, so we are still members, but only pay for the games that we get to see. It worked out much cheaper for us that way.

Yep I think adults seem to be less effected, my original point was that students (and pensioners) get a raw deal. The following were compared with concession season ticket holder.

                                Platinum: Up $195
                                Gold: Up $135
                                Silver: Up $75
Bronze: Up $15 (but there is only a very small section allocated for these)

My seats under this system was gold in 08

I think it's a fairer system too, but these price hikes are really quite severe.
