Well, the club claim that some of the staff read RWO - I wonder how much attention this thread has received, because this is priceless feedback to them. Of course its too late now for 09, but I wonder if anyone is sitting at Driver Ave thinking "let's see what our renewal rate is like, but right now I think we got it VERY wrong".

Will be interesting Mike, to see if they are listening (or reading).
A lot of negative feedback. I wonder how much of this came out of the survey, and how many supporters outside of RWO are unhappy as well?
As for the GF pref/guarantee, it's like insurance, just a donation to some org, on the off chance you may need it. I got to 2 GF's without it, might've be lucky, but saved me the extra dough.
LOL @ the prospectus, wardy. It did seem to be OTT, but I guess it is all getting a bit too professional.Comment

I paid for the Premiership club for 3 years and got great seats for the 2005 GF and then the worst seats in the ground (at premium prices!!) for the 2006 GF. I swore then that i would never pay for the premiership club again after that. People who hadn't paid it had much better seats. If we ever reach another GF (which I don't think is likely for several years) I will take a punt on getting seats by ringing up. The Premiership club is just a rip off in years where we don't have a chance - I am surprised anyone still pays it.---------||--ANNE--||----------Comment

Its just a rip off really.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I know as a fact that when people were stressing on RWO about their memberships not arriving only a week before the first game of the year a couple of seasons back the club sent out an emergency email to all members explaining they were having problems with a mailing house etc etc. This is how closely they read RWO.
Otherwise if you are pissed off at the price rises, tell the club directly! They are a million % better at taking on feedback than they were in the Grzanka days. Their email address is [email protected]

You wish Emu, cant stand quitters.
If you are going to make a statement like you did expect some backlash.
I, like alot on here dont agree with the pricing structure as well.
Though being a Swans supporter all my life ,I would never give up on them.Est 1874

Membership prices
We will still support the team, but just won't be at all the games. That doesn't equate to giving up on them - we still want them to do well and will pick and choose a handful of games we will attend on an ad hoc basis. We feel no guilt at this - just sadness - and the wronged party here certainly isn't the club.
No club, business, entity or whatever can be permitted to think that jacking prices up like this is ok - especially when it is contradictory to the puff pieces they write about strengthening the membership base and acknowledging the wider economic situation.
I'll confidently predict the concourse in front of the O'Reilly stand (which is reasonably prominent throughout the all important TV broadcasts) will look like much of ANZ stadium did for the Final last year. We sit amongst a number of families, and I expect the majority of them (like us) will desert that section in droves (moving to the cheaper zones, or dropping out altogether). With reduced permanent membership in that area, the club will struggle to sell those seats to walk ups at the same price as for a stand seat - so a sea of faded and powdery aqua seats will be all anyone will see there.
It will be very interesting to see next year's membership figures and ground attendance figures. If either rise it will be a minor miracle, and maybe then there will be a serious re-think for 2010.Comment

... PLUS the fact that you spend most of the (day) game shielding your eyes from the sun, hiding under umbrellas when it's raining AND you are in fact sitting "behind play", i.e. on the other side from the commentary (although all your ugly dials are all we see on TV). Should that be classed "premium"?

Notice I said "thinking".
Read between the lines. It's a comment that represents utter discust in the way supporters are being treated, so much so that I would dare mention the dreaded 2nd team.
I can't stand going to Homebush now, Why would I want to go there for all the home games.
By the way we've already decided on the Red Zone, SCG games only.
No ANZ
I love the team more than you realise.
It's this bull about building the supporter base, while creating a class driven seating system.
Still bitter

As for a class driven seating system, that's what happens when you have people who won't venture "out west" to watch a game at ANZ.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Now that we know you speak on behalf of the views of "the membership" I'm sure the club will be in touch!"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
