                                        It's not possible to comment on many of our players this quarter as so few of them have had much, if any, involvement in the game.

                                                            Officially a rabble in that quarter. No-one is winning the ball from stoppages, Port are running much harder and tackling more fiercely, and we're getting killed in the free-kick count (almost all of them justified).

                                                            Maybe the "we don't know the rules of the pre-season comp" is intended as a more subtle way of not winning this game than last year's "don't kick a goal".

                                                            Bird and McVeigh were just about the only two decent players in that quarter.
