Bevan played and had a lot of game time but was pretty non-descript other than one courageous mark in defence.
Jack was also on for much of the game, got a bit of the ball but butchered it a bit. Well, quite a lot really.
DOK struggled to do much. Just a few touchs and mostly in traffic and under pressure. Bit soon to call him our new whipping boy given he's played so little over the last couple of years. But of the new(ish) mids, Meredith looked more impressive. Seems to know how to find the ball and look forward to him stepping up to the pace and rhythm of senior footy.
Bird played a very solid game, and at the other end of the age spectrum, Jude was decent too. But McVeigh's class shone the brightest and ROK was quite impressive. Goodesy floated in and out, did some reasonable stuff and looks fit but didn't look as if he was pushing himself too hard.
Shaw looks like he'll be a handy player too - based on that outing anyway.Comment

The most encouraging thing out of the game would have to be Craig Bird. Looks like he is ready to take the next step and become one of our most important mids.Comment

Ok just watched game and we were at best : AVERAGE
Ok at stages and really ordinary at stages as well.
Worried about our lack of pace in the middle, rekon it will be our achilles heel as the year goes on.Defence also concerning .
Game time was good for some and hopefully we improve.
Havent read any of the thread and will mention players of note.
Shaw ; Certainly looked different , will be a good addition . Played well.
Rhino : When we had an impact we were better.
DOK : The guy is a dud.
Brett Meridith : The kid will be OK and is a very good footballer
Lack of footy at the elite level shows, though he has class all over him.
ed Barlow : Softest footballer in the AFL, he seriously looks scared and has got the gayest hairstyle Ive ever seen in footy.
Craig Bird : OK , god he looks slow though. Lucky he generally knows what to do with it.
Jarred McVeigh : Very Good
Jesse White : Must start in the seniors. Thought he was good
Laidlaw : Ordinary
Kirky : So So
Amon Buchanon : Ordinary
Jarred Moore : Serviceable.
Ryan Brabazon : Looks weird and light, got a ripper bump and knocked himself out.
Goodsey : Good
Mike Pyke : Well , wont even bother to say anything on him
Heath Grundy : Im still not a fan , never looks desperate enough to me and always falls over
Nick Smith : One of our best, I thought looks better when on ball.
Bevo : Ordinary
Mod : To light and still away off in my opinion.
