Its Ablett for Barlow. Buchanan for Meredith.
The first was a guarantee. The second was unexpected but deserved. One has earnt his chance, the other wasted his.

That is the only change to the selected side.

          Game On

Game on Amon is a good Colac boy - and would get a kick or two there in the Hamden league any day?

You've got to be kidding. Barlow was so slow to contest on the weekend. I dont think Ablett is much better, but he can at least do a job. Barlow doesnt offer anything.

Not unhappy to see Buchanan dropped - hopefully the kick in the arse that he needs.

Crouch is lucky, Hawthorn's smalls will run rings around us.
Cant agree with you on this one Plugger. How Buchanan has been dropped is beyond me, the bloke is an out and out match winner on his day, kicks those team lifting goals and puts his head over the ball in every contest.

Also expect a great professional like crouchy to lift. Guns like him rarely have two bad ones in a row. Think your fireing the gun a bit too early here, remember its only round 1.

Are you talking about Amon Buchanan? He hasn't done that for at least a couple of years.

No, the gun is being fired a season too late. He should have retired last year. On saturday night, Barlow could have beaten him to the ball.....easily. Crouch was good in 05, 06, but the game has passed him by, so he should have done the right thing by the club and retired.

Why the change of heart Frosty? I can only assume 'Crutchy' was meant to read 'Crouchy'.

I think you will find plugger that i agreed the crouchy had a bad game last Saturday night. Can you define "on the outer"? I simply meant he may not be in our best 5-10 players this year like he was last year and prevouis years. By far he is still in the best 22 and would not be suprised if he gets back to the form of the last couple of years.

Expect him to play a blinder this week in the wide open spaces of the ANZ stadium, from memory he loves the hawks.

If Crouch was in our best 5-10 players last season, I?ll eat my hat!

I think a much more challenging proposition would be to name 5 players that were worse than him last season.

Oscar the Crouch is a bit like Ed Considine - long gone?
