Goodes - had his best game this season.

Are you serious?? He was almost as bad tonight as he was against the Saints in round 1. Last week he was great, this week, another story. But hey, that's just my opinion.
Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

I could be wrong, but I swear White had some of his ruck time taken by LRT just because Lewis was so bad they had nowhere else for him. I thought White had been fine in the ruck up to the point of LRT coming in (on that, what was up with Richards taking a centre bounce and rucking for 2-3 minutes?).

I really like Barlow, I want him to do well... but I get the whole "soft" thing after that game. I hate saying that about someone.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I think he was suffering from a bad latte tonight. He was obviously unwell.

I couldn't watch a lot of that and switched to Carlton vs Essendon before coming back for the final few minutes.

Barlow just doesn't cut it - get his shorts pulled down more times than he gets the ball.

ROK better get his act together soon.

Richards did pretty well, as did Bevan.

Who can we bring in for Barlow and Crouch?

I didn't say he had a great game... just his best this season. I was at the Saints game and tonights effort was daylight ahead of his performance there... last week was ok... but frankly, he is no where near his best... nowhere near where we need him to be.

White is playing really well. It's great to see him finally getting it together.

I agree about Barlow but it would take a lot of improvement from here.

                Sheesh.

What a waste of three hours!!

                White, Jolly, Richards.

                Rest were crap.

Swans had bad hands early - lots of fumbles c.f. Lions.
Swans not that bad - simply out-played tonight.

Wet weather simply didn't help. Alot of the younger guys not used to it.

Just dumb football for much of the night. When it's wet, you just get the ball moving forward - forget the finessing - and you play in front. We did neither.

We have no forward options and didn't look like kicking a goal for large parts of the night.

If the B&F was being handed out this week, Jolly would would finish 1st 2nd and 3rd.

Spent much of the second half watching an exciting, open game of football.....having said that we'll probably come out and play attractive footy next week when we're expected to struggle....

                      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Hate to see when Goodes has a good one then
He was ordinary ,well not even ordinary.

He was poor , couldnt shake the tag at all.

hasn't it been pissing down in Sydney for most of the pre-season???

It was nice to finally have a win against you guys! About time too. I think the Swans just had a bad night out. We normally play wet footy well.

Pretty much agree with this. We could have had forward options, as others have said: Goodes could have played there, obviously unwell and would have been more use in the goal square than the midfield, White could have rotated through, Grundy has done OK there before.
I think, as I said elsewhere, having a 3 man bench then a 2 man bench was a real killer. But basically the Lions played better, end of story.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
