On a seperate note, I just wanted to add that Jimmy Hird is very impressive with his his work for Fox Sports. The man just oozes sex appeal.
On the Flip side of that Frosty , I would like to bet Daniel Harris & Corey Jones still aint on great terms with Laidley.

Yeah no doubt about that. But I was more focussing on Smasher's point about the player and coach relationship becoming strained after the failure to trade. It certainly isn't always the case.

O'Keefe will be fine. He's still working hard, so it'll turn around pretty shortly. Wouldn't mind seeing him used as a FF, as he's the best contested mark in the side.

I agree with what you say about Knights/Lovett,Laidley/McIntosh and you could add Voss/Hooper to the list but the difference is that they did not put big dollars on their heads and ask for a deal to be done,ROK did and NO deal was done.Only similarity I see is that no deals were done.

I'm glad for you that you find Sir James to be sexy!!!!!He's not my type actually.

This is what the man himself has to say. I'm am sure many will dismiss it as damning lies, but hey, it might actually be true.

Mmmm Frosty, given that you are a male, could your admiration of Jimmy Hird be because you are a little, as they say, "how's your father".

ROK has a touch of the Lleyton Hewitts about him (horrific comparison, but bear with me).

The lack of a single killer weapon means that when either drop off the top of their game, they come back to the pack very very fast.

ROK without gut-busting running that wears out and disorients his opponent and gives him that metre or two to take grab after grab, is just another forward not big enough to hold down a KP spot as a contested marker and goalkicker (even if his goalshooting was sorted), and not quick enough to burn opponents off over the first 5 metres of a lead. Really troubling in 2009 is the fact that (on his version) he's under instructions not to follow the contest to half-back; but he appears to be at the contest when the ball goes inside 50 so rarely. What the hell is this supposed team-oriented role? It's not like we've got so many great forwards that we can afford to use him as a decoy.

Similarly, take away Lleyton's fitness giving him the ability to get back everything that crosses his side of the net, then you have another journeyman with an okay serve, okay groundstrokes, and absolutely nothing to threaten the real elite players.

ROK being an all-Austraian and Hewitt being #1 in the world for ages, both seem a long way away now.

The smart money is now on O'Keefe having a scorcher vs Carlton. Hopefully.

Hasn't the Lleyton Hewitt comparison been done before (with the Swans as a whole, I mean, not so much with individual players)? Great heart/fighting qualities but lack the talent to mix it with the best consistently, or something like that.

Fair comparison, neither of the two ever had a no dickhead policy.

His job against Hawthorn was to keep Hodge away from the ball so the last thing he would do is take him to the contests. he worked hard against the Lions but good delivery into the forward line was virtually non existent.
