Not pretty but a win is a win, thank god for Carlton having the yips in front of goal otherwise Sydney would have been dead and buried by the first change.
Well done to CBolts for his shutdown job on Fev, likewise LRT solid in defence and actually looked like he had a clue with his disposals.

Didn't see the game but, from these posts, it would appear it wasn't the best match ever played.

Who cares? We beat Carlton!! AGAIN!!

      Go the mighty Bloods!

Why isn't it Ratten's fault? His game plan has been picked apart by 2 very ordinary teams in a row. Both teams who were playing at less than full strength. This rubbish of zoning, against a team like Sydney, will never work. You have to be prepared to take some risks in this type of game, but no, the same plan has been followed right throughout the game, hence why Sydney were able to build a match-winning lead.

There is only one positive I have taken from today's game. I am so glad I am not a Swans supporter & have to watch their rubbish week in, week out. As I said previously, there game style may keep them in the top half of the ladder, but it is in no way going to win them another premiership. They stole one from the Eagles in 2005, but 4 years later they are a long way from winning another premiership.

The guy from Bigfooty must be on drugs who wrote this pile of crap..obviously a deeply bleeding BOO'S fan lol

So we're a "very ordinary" team now? Guess we can pencil in a bottom 4 finish.

Not correct, there, Nico...must have prior opportunity...otherwise it's just a tackle and the player tackled is just doing his best to get rid of it. He's not allowed to drop it (on purpose) when he gets tackled, remember. Incorrect disposal during a tackle - with no prior opportunity - is merely good work by the tackler and should never be a free kick. Unfortunately umpires (and fans) get this wrong way too much. Sometimes umpires incorrectly pay HTB when (as the commentators say) he "had it a long time." How long you have it is irrelevant if you have no prior opportunity and are doing your best to get a correct disposal. Also tacklers are not supposed to "be rewarded" for a good, great or even brilliant tackle unless there is prior opportunity. Lots of commentators (and fans and umpire) forget this.

I dont know if he will ever be a blood, but today he showed he will be a valued member of the team. Grundy also looks to have taken the next step and should have a secured place in the line up for this year. I thought the game showed that the blues are full of too many outside players (soft is too harsh) and that the swans style of selfless one on one football will always prevail. In saying that i though we missed BBBB immensely today and as gutsy as our boys are, we will be towelled up in the coming month with we don?t have more purpose going into the 50.

A wins a win and that was pretty decent in the end.

Solid effort from everyone. Great intensity from the boys which swung the game in our favour in the 3rd.

Took a few pics. Here they are:
