    24/15 Tigers way.

Count was 25 to 14 against.

Umpiring was woefully inconsistent but probably all were frees in the strict context of the laws which now basically seemed to be written to allow any game to pulled up at any time for anything - no hands in the back , the side, no touching of any kind it seems. It starts to turn the game into a joke and they certainly wont be turning rugby league fans over to the game if they think western sydney wants to watch that kind of "aerial ping pong" / basketball crap play.

Seems as a swans player - you can be held, you can be obstructed, you cant be first to the ball as you will be called for holding, you can have your head knocked off as you may have slightly ducked your head at the incoming forearm to the face and as a forward you cant use any part of your body in the marking contest.

As a richmond player - you can dive on the ball and wait until someone comes to your aid before getting rid of it, you can scrag and hold and you are allowed to run straight back at a player going for the mark without the need to have eyes on the ball and you can do basically anything to win the contest except throw your opposition backmen off the ball.

I sometimes wonder if the swans colours make them a target or if the umpires are showing an inbuilt bias to sydney teams.

Its bias Mr Magoo. Simple as that.
Maybe its the red in the jumper that's the problem. Do you think we should change the colour to Pink and soften the twits' prejudice and eyesight issues?

from what I can remember, Martin Mattner almost had his head taken off, no free kick. Jeff Kennett has made a good point, they are bigger than the game.

I think their decisions cost us a convincing win and made it a close one .When they see the tape they should be embarassed by their poor performance.
I wonder whether umpiring is reviewed by games officials during game time. If an umpire makes mistakes against us, surely he should be pointed out during the game, vice versa, and tries to amend by awarding in favour of us for similar offences by opponent players. It is useless for them to agree that the umpire has made the mistakes after the game in a public forum, if it exists.

Or are they too busy taking in tiger prawn and drinking chardonay with the pretty ladies at directors/official stand to even notice the frustration and booing on the one-side game intepretation around the ground.

All things must be prefect and in place, including professional umpiring or at least same rules interpreatation for both teams on the field, before a second team is persued further in Sydney West.

One-sided bad umpiring can turn Sydney AFL fans off no matter who win.

If that was the instance I'm thinking of (by the boundary line, may have ended up with a throw-in just after) it was right in front of us, there was much booing from the crowd as he had clearly been taken high but the umpire was on the other side of the pack and I don't think in any position to see it.

Kind of on the same topic, but it peeved me also when the commentators had a go at Bazz after that little fracas he was involved in. I am pretty sure the umpire awarded the free against Magic (who slung a bloke to the ground) and not Bazz. Whilst I think this was pretty soft (they were all holding each other ffs) it wasn't against Bazz. The commentators then just kept harping on about how he had let the team down etc...you can't do anything Bazz!!!

I think pink would suit them much better than the green! When they lay down on the grass to warm themselves up, right near the fence and do those little stretches... I have to cover the childrens eyes and ask them not to look, its sooooo obscene that these 'men' with their build, carry on like that.

That happened in front of us and there were 3 tigers on Baz and one of them threw a punch from behind him (very brave ) - he and Magic took offence at that so Mag flung this clown to the ground - Baz will be singled out simply because he is Baz - he could stand there with his hands tied behind his back, get a smack in the face from an opponent and he would still get the blame - its sadly the nature of the beast. There are many players who have short fuses, and like a bit of a biff, but becasue they dont look brutish, like Baz does, then they get away with more.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

                            Get over it.....

The umpiring was as bad/good as it is week in, week out. There is no bias, the Swans are not targets, and no one is out to get you personally. It is all a figment of your minds due either to your own personal bias, or your complete stupidity with regard to your own personal understanding of the rules of the game (Like the moron who sits behind us in the Bradman stand).

This whinging, whining and crying is pathetic.
