    1. They lose scarlett and mooney just prior to the game starting
    2. They lose bartel , corey and selwood in the first quarter to injury.
    3. We are ahead by forty at three quarter time.

One of my fondest memories of footy is Mooney on his haunches crying after the 2005 semi.

I'm most worried by Chapman (in awesome form) and Ling. But there are just two teams so we have a chance - even the Dees seemed to have a chance during the game last week!

Would love to see us experiment this game - crazy silly @@@@e like ROK to the wing, Goodes tag Scarlett, Moore one on one at CHF with BBBH, Magic & Pyke in the goal square - anything to mix it up a bit.

        Otherwise, we're doomed...

I think we have a real shot tomorrow, we need to be on top of our game (obviously) below is a list of 'IF's' that must be answered in order to win.

Backs: LRT, superted and B2 are all in great form atm along with Rhys shaws run and carry along the flanks; I can see Moondog, Stevy H and Chappy as serious fwd threats, if we get on top of these guys and half the battle is won.

Mids: This is the key to the game, Jolly in career best form against two 'triers' at best in Mumford and Blake; Jolly should be able to handle these 2 easily therefore easing the pressure off Pyke, it will b interesting to see how he goes 2nd game in against close to the weakest ruck combination in the league. The real worry is the likes of Selwood, Bartel, Enright and Ling getting on top of our mids. B1 has been in great form of late and if he can be servicable along with Kirky then this can help to stop their run. McVeigh and Goodesy need to be positive and attack at all costs; Geelong's mids are damaging but we need to be equally as to ensure that they are accountable as well.

Forwards: Hall and Micky O wil b better for the run; Harley first game back so will be underdone first week back, i presume that we will try and exploit this as much as possible. Also look for the ROK to FINALLY hit some form, as the saying goes 'Form is temporary class is permanent'

I know there is a lot of bias hope behind this post but i legitimately think we have a real shot. Geelong last week were ordinary and would have been punished by a better side. At $7 on TAB sports bet those odds look very good.

Game won't be won on players. Will be won on pressure and ability. If Swans can tackle hard and restrict Geelongs fast game, they will win.
Some reasons that will stop us winning:
            -Mattner on Stokes
            -Swans play utter rubbish
            -Hall doesn't fire

            Help us win:
            -Pressure is high
-MOL and BBH score 3-4 goals each
            -We dominate the ruck
            -Win the clearances

Our biggest obstacle to winning is that it is forecast to rain. We are the worst wet weather team in the competition.

All the experts gave the bombers no chance tonight - they won by seven or so goals! If they can do the impossible, then so can we! Go Swans!

I read a story during the week that some brave soul had a huge bet on Essendon to be in front at each change, into Swans in front at each change. Stood to win 400k at odds of 336-1 (unbelievable hey). He missed out by a point on tonight's game, with the Hawks squeaking in front by a point at half time. Life can just about be cruel enough for the Swans to do the business tomorrow and leave the poor bugger 1 point away from being the long shot genius of all time!

Cruel for him - but would be heaven for us hey!

Wouldn't that mean he would have been two points off?

I don't get this. We're supposed to be one of the hardest teams in the comp, yet we are constantly carved up in the wet.

I think it's that we try to do too much. If we followed the just keep it moving forward addage, I think it'd be OK...but we don't.

It's actually plural because he keeps getting beaten.

LRT will go to Hawkins. We match up pretty well on their forward line. Geelong give us a chance if we can run off the half back line. Rhys Shaw is really important. If we can run it through the central spine Magic will trouble them. Thornton is such a strong mark hopefully he can float across the front of the contested packs and take a few grabs. The Geelong defense is vulnerable to quick leading forwards into space. If we just bomb are kick under pressure they will rebound.

I think we obviously can't compete with the best. I would rather finish 16th and get what is left of the draft picks than finishin 6th and getting hammered.
                                Anyway you can't play forever.
                                Kirky thanks and goodbye
