Our bottom 6-7 really do let us down quite regularly. In this competition it's the difference between top 4 and missing the finals.

Ablett, Bevan, Moore, Grundy bring nothing to the table. They rotate between neutral, shocker and average.

O'Loughlin is far too slow to be a consistently dangerous forward. Rarely gets clear on a straight lead. Time to move on.

Buchanan and LRT are borderline. LRT's height and pace save him for now, but if he were medium height player, he would be G.A.W.N.

Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

Thats a tautology. The bottom 6 almost by definition let a side down particularly if it loses. Bevo had 16 possessions and wasn't in the bottom 6. To rate O'Laughlin as too slow to be a consistently dangerous forward is . . . well ludicrous.

I understand that rating the 'popular' MOL in the botom 6 will go against the grain of opinion, but populist decision making doesn't often take you forward.

You have to look carefully and understand the game, but Spevo's first 3 interactions with the vicinity of the air conveyance are his usual inept failures. 15 of his 16 "possessions" would be classified as benevolent charity. The other 16 that he should have got are why he is in the bottom 6.

Just back on MOL..why didn't he kick towards goal after a great mark in the first 10 minutes of the game?..... He sent it backwards to ?ROK and we seemed to fall apart from there

Yes, one of the many perplexing plays of that day.

Maybe I am mixing him up with another player, but 2-3 years ago he was returning from injury and was pretty ordinary. There's hope for Melcho.

Yes well you are a visionary because you are seeing things no one else can. He had 5 contested possessions and made 6 tackles. How did you rate McV''s game as a midfielder champ? He had 5 less possessions than Bevo, not one of them contested or the greatest small player since Skilts who had four less possessions, one less contested and made less tackles? I should not be contesting any of your possession.

I'm certainly glad that the captains turned up to play.
Blind Barry and Duck Butt also turned up.

                          The rest are a joke.

At a petrol station in Goulburn, a swannies fan was walking out of the shop as I was walking in. He went to say something, and I just said I didn't want to talk about it. He laughed and said, "at least we won the second half".

                          Indeed.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

No mention by anybody of the left(?) cross that LRT placed on Minson's jaw in the first quarter.

I haven't watched the replay yet (yes, I am going to put myself thru the agony and watch it later ), was it picked up by cameras and commented on??

Either way, I'm expecting something from the MRP this afternoon.

Yes it was on Camera, several times. I think it was a right, bit of a soft punch, didn't do much damage.

How the MRP review it, I guess we'll find out tonight.

                                Thx Scott.

BTW, were there any RWO'ers in Bay 11 or near vicinity on Saturday??

We had the most obnoxious group of Bulldog fans a few rows behind us. First quarter they just gave it to LRT and started on Barry Hall in the second. Unfortunately, the way the second quarter panned out, how the hell can u have a comeback? They were relentless in the one liners which unfortunately were not even funny and barely factually correct, but I guess sledges don't necessarily need to be. Surprisingly there was not much foul language, so that wasn't the issue, just relentless baiting of the players (who probably couldn't hear and wouldn't give a flying if they could) and baiting of Swans supporters in the area (who could hear, but were so comotose from the teams performance it was easier to pretend we couldn't hear ).

Fortunately they eased up on Barry when he made it 4, then 5, then 6 in the last. All of a sudden they had no comeback as we stuck 5 fingers up, then 6 with the sendoff "Count 'em buddy, count 'em"
