O'loughlin didn't do nothing. He was beaten. That's ok. It happens.
Despite the loss (and the size of it), I think the swans can take more positives out of that game than the dogs.
I can't see any way that a valid claim can be made that the dogs did something to win that game. They win because the swans didn't play (again) for a quarter. That seems to me to show the dogs that they aren't better than than the swans and that the swans are better than the dogs. Interesting, given that the dogs came so close to the cats last week.
We're on a roll!!! Bring on the next 12 games!!!Comment

Just back from watching on neighbour's Fox. I have skipped through the frustration and spleen on this thread. It's a simple story: Bulldogs' skills and intensity/pressure were way better than ours in the second quarter. Indeed their skills were generally superior through the game. We lifted in the second half but it looked better partly because the Doggies eased back a touch.
Goodes was wonderful, Baz had a good game, O'Keefe was good and worked very hard, so did B1, Crouch made a few people eat their words while he was on the ground. Of the youngsters I thought Jack did well.
Others worked hard, especially Kirk and Bevan; several did good things but also contributed to the clanger count, notably Shaw, B2, LRT, Jolly, White, Mattner, Richards and Moore.
It was a much better game to watch and we mounted some pressure of our own, forced some errors and turnovers, but the horse had bolted. And I don't think it was merely our deficiencies that caused the second quarter disaster: the Doggies played exceptionally well, would have troubled even Geelong with their skill and pace as they did last week. No disgrace to be beaten by such a team.
But we can and should do better. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Biggest half time lead of the year, at 13 goals to 2 says a lot.
How much better do we look when we move the ball quickly into the forward line. Far too much wasted handball. Then again, far too many poor kicks as well. Still a big gap between us and the top teams.Comment
