The hype around him centres on the fact he has had twice as many bounces as anyone else in the comp...!?! Am I the only one bewildered by this?

Against the Dogs I saw him take 3 bounces in 10m...the third under pressure - forcing a poor disposal....One stat massively overrated. If he took a bounce every 15m - he'd be in line with everyone else.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

100% right Satch - Jezza did the deed for a couple of seasons I recall.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

A better comparison would be "metres run with ball" or maybe even better "metres run towards attacking goals with ball" .Number of Bounces means nothing other than he bounces it more than anyone else.

Even then stat is meaningles if you say run it 30 metres five times - only to kick it to a player on the boundary line or worse to an opposition player who rebounds it through the corridor.

Something I noticed with Shaw. Terrible defensive efforts. When he has the ball or is about to get it, absolutely busts a gut running. But when the opposition has the ball he just ambles along.

And the less said about that last kick the better!
